POV: Cronus.

Karkat has to be safe.

"Hey Assholes, can you not hold me that tight it hurts."
"D--> You hurt my eyes"

I sigh. I hear footsteps behind me. I look behind me, and see the girl walk behind us. She has a collar in her hands.

"Guys, can I give him something to wear, glub?"
"D--> Depends on it"
"I have this special collar, can I let him wear it?"
"D--> Yes princess"
"Thanks. Can I walk him to the execution room? You can walk behind us, like around four feet behind us, glub."
"D--> Alright Princess"

She ties the collar around my neck. I get on all fours and 'walk' along with her. She starts rambling to me for probably the last time. She went on and on about how one of her friends ate slime, and how his brother deafened a girl. She talked briefly about her boyfriend and her other friends. Then she talked about my brother. How he stalked her, and wanted to date her. I gave a weak smile.

Today would be my last day. I heard rumors. Rumors that my dad would be the one to kill me. Well, so be it.

We arrive, and I was ordered to go and sit on the floor. I did as asked.

My dad entered the room, together with the Grand HighBlood and Her Imperial Condescension. I gulped. This was very frightening, mainly because I was the only one to be killed.

Two people entered the room. I didn't recognize them, because they had bags over their heads. They had to sit on the benches of two guillotines. What do all these people have with guillotines?!

I was lead to a guillotine. I also had to sit on it. The Condesce stood up, and she got handed two pieces of paper.

"W)(ale, w)(ale, w)(ale. Today we are )(ere to execute t)(ese t)(ree TRAITORS of t)(is glorious country!"

Cheering came from the audience. I just noticed all the people in the huge crowd.

"I am going to read the requests )(e )(as filed for us. T)(e first one is pretty darn good, if I say so myself. )(e asks if a boy named Karkat Vantas can remain safe and independent. W)(ale, I think t)(at's not going to )(appen, since )(e is )(ere right now."
More cheering.

"The second request will be read by the Grand HighBlood."

"ThAnK yOu MoThErFuCkInG hIgHnEsS. HiS sEcOnD rEqUeSt Is To SiNg A sOnG. I dOn'T tHiNk He ShOuLd SiNg AnYtHiNg RiGhT fUcKiNg NoW."

"I don't think he deservves it either. Grab the sacks of the other two people!"
Guards do as he orders. I see Karkat, all scared and shaking. His father, the Signless, is also pretty terrified.

"W)(ale, let's be)(ead the first one!"
The Signless has to lay down and they drop the blade. More of that cherry red blood flows over the floor. Karkat is now crying, but I don't think he has noticed yet.

"N-EXT UP: CRONUS AMPORA!!"
I am being laid down. I look sideways, directly to Karkat, and give him one last smile. He shakes his head and mouths something but I look right up, waiting for the blade to fall.

"NO!"
Everyone looks up. Kurloz comes running in and starts trying to form words.

"I... UH... HI! STOP IT THIS INSTANT!"
"WhY wOuLd We?"
"BECAUSE HE IS MY FRIEND. I KILLED MEENAH."
"YoU dIdN't. He CoNfEsSeD iT hImSeLf."
"HE LIED!"
"ThEn YoU'lL bOtH dIe! Grab him! GRAB HIM!"

Kurloz just starts booking it towards me, and I shake my head no. He looks at me confused and just lifts me up. I've lost enough weight to be as light as a feather at this point. He starts running away with me, still a horde of guards behind us.

"WHY DID YOU KILL MEENAH AGAIN?"
"She wvas jealous at my lovwe for Kankri."
"THANKS. I HAVE KILLED HER JUST ROLL WITH IT."
"No! I wvon't just 'roll wvith it'."

"BUT WHY NOT?"
"Because I don't havwe anyfin to livwe for."
"OH."
"Hand me ovwer to them."
"IF YOU ASK THAT FROM ME, THEN I'LL OBEY."

The guards grab me and take me back to the room. I hear Kurloz still running away from the other guards. The heels from his boots make a very calming /tick/ noise.

I hang heavy on the guards that are tasked with getting me back to be executed.

As I lay back on the bench, one of the last things I heard was my father's voice.

"BEHEAD HIM!"
