Chapter 13: Strength

Rina's POV

Hinata and Kageyama were doing some passing with the volleyball while I sat on the sideline wearing my headphones on as I watch the two play. I suddenly yawned making the two look at me...

"Rina,Are you ok?Do you want me to buy you some coffee?"Kageyama asked with concern as he catched the ball and looked at me.

"Yeah I'm fine. I'm just bored.Anyway,I need to go talk to uncle..."I told him and stood up and stretched my arms. I then saw Suga-san running towards us. He waved at me and I nodded.

"It looks like Suga-san wants to talk with us.Well,I'll be going now..."Then I turned around.

"Wait!Aren't you going to listen to what he's going to say?"Hinata asked

"No. I already know what he's going to say..." then I continued walking and went inside the building and looked for Uncle.

As I walked down the hallway,I saw Asahi-san sat on one of the benches and looking through the window. Maybe he knows where Uncle is.

"Asahi-san..."I called as stood behind him but he doesn't seem to hear me. Maybe my voice was a little low.

"Asahi-san."I called louder and he still didn't move. I groaned in irritation and held his shoulder while calling out for his name again more louder.

"Asahi-san"I called and he flinched then he looked at me.

"Rina!Uh..."Then he scratched the back of his neck and smiled faintly.

"I've been calling you three times but it seems like your in a deep thought..."I told him and he smiled faintly again...

"Sorry and... You're right. I'm in a deep thought.Anyway,Do you need anything?"

"Do you know where Uncle is?"I asked him and he shook his head.

"No,But I think he is inside the Gym with Take-sensei and Shimizu..."He said as he points at the gym.

"Ok.Thanks..."Then he smiled at me and he looked back at the scenery outside.

I turned around and walked towards the Gym.But after I take a few steps,I stopped. Should I talk to him?Nah,Maybe I shouldn't. It's not like I care. I thought for a moment,Debating wether I should talk to him or not. You wanted be a friendly person this time right? I mentally slapped myself and groaned.

In the end,I heaved a deep sigh and turned around. I walked back to him and sat a little farther beside him. He turned his head towards me looking confuse while I just sat there with my legs crossed and my hands in my Jacket's pockets.

"Uhm...Rina?Do you still need something?"He asked me and I shook my head.

"I-I'm trying..."I mumbled and hung my head low.

"Trying?Trying what?"He asked still confused.

"to...to be...Friendly...or some sort..."I explained then I heard him chuckle making me look at him. He smiled at me and patted my head.

"Don't force yourself,Just be you. But it's nice actually..."He said as he gave me a warm smile.

"Asahi-san...You're still afraid right?"I suddenly asked making him stop patting and pull away his hand from my head and turn away. He smiled sadly and looked down.

"You can say that..."

"Why?"

"I'm afraid that... I won't able to do my place as the Ace. I'm still afraid that we may lose again because of me..." He told me and then he clenched his fist. I sighed at him and looked infront.
