Riley's POV

I woke up to my cell phone ringing. With out checking the caller, i picked up and mumbled, "Hello, Riley speaking." "I'm Sorry Miss, but your mother was in a car crash," the deep voice spoke back to me. "Um excuse me, who is this?!" I yelled. "I'm Dr.Burgenstein, head doctor of SKRE Hospital," (a/n doesn't exist) he told me. "What! Is she okay? What happened?" I yelled at them, tears streaming down my face. "No life threatening injuries but please come, and we can talk in private,"he asked me. "Okay, give me directions. i'll be there as soon as I can!" I yelled and hung up.

Dr.Burgenstein texted me directions and I sat weeping; trying to catch my breath. Sam must have heard my crying, cause the next thing i knew he was by my side. "My..mom..is in..the hospital..car..crash," I managed to make out. "Oh, I'm so sorry princess," he said as he took me in his arms. He rocked me back and forth. "What time is it?" I asked him, catching my breath. "4:38 in the morning," he answered and put his phone away. I stood up, and dizziness washed over me. "Sit down, I'll pack for you quickly and i'll get someone to drive you. I'm sorry." Sam told me calmly. I sat down and took a sip of the water, Sam placed beside me.

He came back minutes later with my backpack stuffed with clothing. "Calum said he'll drive you," Sam told me. I nodded and took a deep breath, "Can you please stay here, I need to do this by myself." I asked quietly. He nodded and gave me a kiss on my for-head. "I love you," he whispered in my ear. "I love you too," I replied and gave him one last kiss on the cheek. I grabbed my backpack and saw Calum in a black jeep. I climbed in and sat down.

"Well, don't you look fancy," he told me grinning. I looked down on my rubber duck pajama pants and my black tank top. "Just shut up and drive," I told him, trying to sound annoyed but a small smile escaped. He took one last look at me and grinned, "Okay ma'm, but I do have to say you look quiet dashing." I blushed and hit his arm, "I can't wait till I'm out of this car." Laughing he proclaimed, "Can I just say this is a 18 hour drive and you owe me lunch. I cant wait to see the look on the witches face!"
