The next morning was a blur. They had woken up at 11:00, and they had to get ready and neat fast.
Hali took a ten minute shower, and Max followed with a three minute one. At this, Hali sighed. "I wish I could take fast showers like you. I even turned the water to cold this time."
Max shrugged. "Come on, eat some of this food. It might taste a tad bit stale, but we're lucky our room came with a fridge and microwave. Come on! Hurry!"
They literally shoved all the food in their mouth and ran to the elevator. There was a woman, dark skin and brown hair, and her daughter. They almost looked identical. "Hello, ladies!!"
Hali waved and Max nodded. The elevator music continued for a few moments as the four awkwardly rode in silence.
The little girl waved goodbye at the end, and all four of them got off.
Hali and Max waved back and raced off to the car.
"You locked the door and got the key, right?" Hali asked.
"Of course I did. I learned my lesson from last time!"
Hali let out a sigh of relief as they opened and slammed closed the doors to the car. They planned to arrive ten minutes early, and they were on track. It was a 15 minute drive. They had gotten there, and the studio was filled with different photoshoot rooms, offices, and mini shops and such.
Max looked up at the glittery sign and cringed. "Well, at least it's something."
Hali laughed. "I can't believe I'm about to go do this."
"Well, what is there to loose?"
"Oh, I don't know, my entire career?"
Max rolled her eyes and grabbed her hand. "Come on."
They walked in, and walked over to the front desk.
"Hello! And who are you?" Her nametag said Julia.
"Justice Julia!" Max laughed.
Julia smiled a bit and nodded. "Yeah, I get that a lot."
Hali put her hands on the counter. "I'm a model today. For the Glitter Girl shoot?"
Julia smiled bright. "Oh, yes! It's Room 45A."
Hali nodded. "Thanks."
Hali and Max exchanged a glace and they walked into the room. In the room were four different backdrops. There were three girls inside: A girl with blonde hair who looked about 12, a girl with red hair who looked 8, and a girl with pink hair who looked about 14.
Hali walked around uncomfortably. A girl with light brown hair like hers approached her. "Hello! Are you Hali? I assume you had trouble finding the room. That's alright. Come on. You will be posing in front of all four backgrounds. First, Katy will do your makeup, hair, and clothes."
Hali nodded and looked at Max. Max giggled a little as Hali walked off into the room, looking back at her with a worrying glance.
