She flew through the trees. Her large, dark wings pushed her through the skies. If the girl gained enough speed she could make it through the shield. The wind blew against her face so hard her cheeks started to fly off her face, her wavy hair became a tangled mess.
Just when she reached 150 miles per hour, she started to go for the dive, the speed reached up to 300. And then she felt the warp, the shield broke for just a second and she flew in. She stopped herself to a halt. Her feet left skid marks. If she didn't stop fast enough she could run straight into the ground.
Without even looking where she needed to go she jumped and start to glide through the streets of the Sirens kingdom, the lights glistened against the night sky. She slowly gained altitude so she was at the height of the treetops. The castle was her destination. She needed to alert the princess. The princess who would soon be queen. You couldn't just fly past the palace gates though, this was one of the few places in the whole kingdom the required you to walk. She lowered herself to the ground, the guards didn't even look at her in the eye. They knew her. She was the most precious warrior, the best fighter, the best singer (It's important when you're a siren), the most loyal, the most trusted.
She walked past the gates, she would normally take her time so she could show her privilege but right now she was in a hurry. She knew the castle like the back of her hand. She could probably make a map blindfolded so instead of going through the main doors she simply found the right window and flew right in. Into the princesses chamber.
"Princess Aigle!" the warrior yelled. The princess turned around her face red, her hair was uncharacteristically down in dark long waves. And she was only wearing a nightgown.
"What the hell are you doing in here!" Aigle screeched.
"Princess I have an urgent message."
"Get out!" She yelled again. She tried pushing her back out the window "That's an order, Adrasteia."
Adrasteia grabbed her hands. The princesses face turned deep Scarlett. Covering all of her porcelain complexion. "As much as I absolutely love our banter." The princess tried to let loose, the warrior held her grip. "It's your sister."
The princess froze "What's wrong with with her?" All of her embarrassment being replaced with worry.
"Now your listening?"
"Adrasteia!"
"Alright, alright. She just wanted me to give you a message." She paused for dramatic effect. "The goddess in coming, the goddess from the prophecy in here!"

Princess (I)
She stormed down the hall. Barking orders at everyone she saw. Telling them to clean, to cook, to get everything perfect. The goddess was coming. Normally she would doubt her sisters judgment but she'd studied the goddess day and night. She probably knew more than the Queen, maybe even the oracle. Her nightgown was now replaced with black leggings and button-up. Formal yet easy in combat. Her long hair was now in a tight bun so it wasn't in the way. Honestly how could Adrasteia even fight with her hair flinging in every direction.
Finally she'd made it to the thrown room. She burst through the doors. Queen Circe looked at her. "You should be in bed the suns almost up." She didn't flinch, no movement. Typical.
"Mother, the goddess in coming, I have already begun preparations."
The queen looked at her daughter straight in the eye, raising one eyebrow, suspicion caked on her face. Adrasteia came shuffling through the door and bowed. "It's true your majesty. I saw her fall down from the sky with my own two eyes."
"Did my daughter, the younger princess, agree with this theory."
The warrior rose. "She was actually the one who came up with it, your majesty, I however was uncertain."
The queen stood up from her chair. "What do you mean 'uncertain'?"
The warrior shrank under the queens cool stare. "The goddess did not have one thing that the Oracle described. She had no wings, she was featherless, none on the face or arms like the rest of us. She looked so...human."
