Princess Nakato felt bad for what she was doing but it had to be done. She needed to bring the goddess to the castle. In the prophecy it was said that something bad was coming, the goddess was the warning but also the savior. Nakato and everyone called her "the goddess" instead of an actual name because in another prophecy it said that she would be unknown with no legends or mythology about her. So far she had come up in 27 different prophecies from several different oracles. All describing her in roughly the same manner.

Nakato did have her doubts that this girl was the goddess. She was featherless, a human equivalent to a naked mole rat. Nakato, being a siren, had feathers on her forehead and cheek bones and along her shoulders and forearms. The goddess did have everything else though.

"A light from the heavens will shine below, Midnight covers her body whole. Featherless remains will be found by her side, the skulls stolen feathers will teach her to fly"

Basically meaning that she will come down in a ray of light, have dark skin/come at night, the remains or skeleton of a bird will be with her, she will be able to fly with her wings.

Yet she doesn't fit the exact criteria. But wings just seemed like such a minor detail compared to everything else, she had to be the one!

To get her to the kingdom would be difficult, with how fast they had to fly, and the fact that the goddess couldn't fly at all just makes it even harder.

"Princess Nakato, how do you expect us to transport the goddess? Carrying her would take multiple if us, we would need someone fast and strong like Adasteria to fly her." Said a leader of a party

"Yes, a bad decision on my part, Adasteria would just deliver the message the fastest and she was the closest." Replied Nakato "So I guess I'll have to do."

The advisor nodded her head.

"I'll go to her,  you tell your party to come with me back to the castle. Everyone else must still keep watch." The leader of the parties name was Madelia. She ran her group perfectly, Adrasteia was apart if it. Adrasteia would probably he the leader, if she didn't have a discipline issue. She would skip training to go hang out with Princess Aigle. She also tended to act unmannerly. Madelia was a good leader though not nearly as amazing as Adrasteia, but she was sharp, paid attention.

Nakato lifted herself from the branches, moving silently as she flew across the night sky. Her dark clothes, hair and skin blended with the night, her bright green eyes were the only thing that stood out. She landed lightly next to the goddess, who was sound asleep, huddled into herself, shaking in the cold, like an orange leaf about to fall off a dying tree, just in time for winter.

Nakato brushed her hand lightly against the Goddesses side, encouraging awakening. Nakato felt unholy and disrespectful, but it had to be done. The goddess moved. Flinching, surprised by another touch. Needlessly to say, the goddesses screams of surprise filled the night air.
