"In this hidden, yet beautiful land, live many species and creatures. But the ones that mainly inhabit the forest are the Nixai and Mithrans."

"Believe it or not, these polar opposite kinds have lived in harmony for a great time. And that still applies today."

The leaders of these people have kept all in order. Disputes between Nixai and Mithrans are very rare. The Nixai live on the beautiful, sun-filled side of Starshine, while the Mithrans live in the dark, gloomy and rocky part of it. Now, let us start the true tale--"

"Okay Grandma Crystal, that's enough for now." A dark haired nixie interrupted, rolling her eyes. "It's time for you to rest." "But--" The silver haired elder was interrupted by a new voice this time. "Naira's right Grandmother. Rest, please?" Pleaded an older, red haired nixie.

"Alright. By the stars, you young children don't know how to respect your elders anymore." Naira rushed the children out of the area. Her and the other nixie walked out of the Elders' Area.

"I swear, is there a day where she isn't stubborn? I mean, come on Rust, you have to agree with me." Naira spoke in an annoyed tone to the nixie walking next to her, who was her older brother. He tilted his head down to her. "At sixteen, you find everyone annoying, don't you?" Rust snorted. "LISTEN HERE YOU LITTLE AS--" Naira was cut off from her rant.

"Hey!!! Nai, I'm back" Called a dark haired nixie who seemed a bit taller and a year older than Naira. "Ooh. There comes your little boyfriend." Rust teased before Naira slapped him on the cheek. "He isn't my boyfriend." She spoke through gritted teeth as the other nixie bounced towards them.

"Hey, Kai!" Naira forced a smile as her brother rubbed the red mark on his cheek. Her tail was twitching in annoyance and anger. "Why does your brother looked like he was burned by a handprint on his cheek?" Kai asked, tilting his head to one side. "Something that doesn't concern you." Naira spoke in quite a sassy tone. "Anyways, village, now." She half dragged Kai out of camp, ticked off at this point.

Hey everybody! This is the first chapter of the first fiction novel I'm writing. It's also the only novel I've ever written. So I understand if it's pretty cruddy.
