The Light and Shadows of the Stars

Chapter 5: Midday Sparks

Naira was pulled, spinning around to face Kai. Their faces were an inch away from each other.

Naira blinked quickly for a moment before realizing what had happened and what position she was in. The close proximity her and Kai were in made her blush."Kai.. what the flip do you think you're doing?" Naira looked up, her eyes full of annoyance, fury, and... lust? Kai looked deeper and confirmed his thoughts. There was a slight bit of lust.

 "Did you really think I wasn't going to take the opportunity to be this close to the girl of my dreams?" Kai smirked as Naira slowly processed what he just said. "Wait... oh. WHAT?!" She immediately tried to jerk away, but Kai kept his hold firm. 

Naira looked up, she could have sworn his face moved closer. "Hey bud, don't even think--" But it was too late to protest, Kai closed the distance between them and pressed his lips against hers.

 Naira blinked in shock, she was about to jerk away when Kai gently tightened his grasp. She somehow gave in, slowly closing her eyes and clasping her hands around the back of Kai's neck.  Wait.. NAIRA WHAT IN THE NAME OF THE STARS ARE YOU DOING? HE IS KAI. THE GUY YOU'VE KNOWN SINCE CHILDHOOD. GET OUT OF THIS POSITION. Naira thought, but her thoughts were quickly silenced by her feelings, too overwhelmed to even fight back. She gently ran her fingers through Kai's hair, softly breathing.

 Kai finally pulled away, gazing down at the beauty he called his friend. "..what in the name of the stars just happened?" Naira looked up, her eyes slightly confused and relaxed. "Let me treat you like the beauty you are, just for today." Kai looked at her, his eyes still full of lust.

 "...fine. Only because of how little effort you put into this. NO WANDERING HANDS THOUGH." Naira looked up, her eyes serious. "Can't make any promises." Kai teased, offering her his hand. She slowly took it, glancing up at him. "I promise, I'll be careful." Kai smiled as he walked off with Naira deeper into the woods.

Well that was a spicy chapter, wasn't it? Sorry it was so short though, or, I think it was. Anyways, I wanted to save the more romantic parts for the chapter after the next one.
