Chapter 7

(Minho's POV)
The next day we go back to running. Thomas runs by himself because he can be trusted to do so. Y/N on the other hand cannot so she ran with me. Not because she is a girl because she is clumsy and is constantly bruising herself by tripping up. So she needs the extra support.
We are running the maze as usual me slightly ahead of her because I can run just a little faster.
"Hey Minho, come look at this," she calls.
I run over to see what she is looking at. I see a small person sized tunnel. That seems to look like it leads to somewhere else because I can light at the other end of the tunnel.
"Have you ever seen this before?" She asks.
"No, maybe this is the way out of the maze?" I say unsure.
"Why don't I crawl through and check it out if anything gets bad I will just crawl back through the tunnel," she says.
"Wait I feel like this might be a set up," I say. "Something just doesn't feel right,"
"I'll be fine I promise," she says laughing.
"Okay, if you're sure," I sayraising my arms in surrender.
She crawls through the small tunnel and reaches he other side no problems.
"Minho, I can't see anything interesting it's just a room with stone walls and ceiling," she says sounded disappointed.
"Nevermind then just come back through and we can tell Alby about it later," I say trying to sound cheery but inside I am disappointed too.
"Okay," she says.
I can hear her footsteps walking towards the tunnel and then her crouching down but then suddenly the tunnel closed off, leaving her trapped inside.
"Y/N!" I shout in panic. I bang where the tunnel should be trying to get it to open up.
"I can faintly hear her screaming for me on the other side, so quiet it's almost a whisper.
"I'm going to run and get help!" I shout. Before I leave I cut a vine and lay it against the wall so I know the exact place where the tunnel was.
I run back to the Glade faster than I ever ran. I get Alby and explained everything. He brings Gally because this is an emergency and we need his help. I show them to the spot where the tunnel should be.
"Y/N!" Alby shouts. "Can you hear us?"
I still hear her faintly shouting back but it is muffled so I don't understand what she is saying.
"I really don't know what to do I mean it's a stone wall," Gally says rubbing the back of his neck.
"Well we need to do something;" I say exasperated.
Just as we are brainstorming I hear a bloodcurdling scream. I immediately know it is Y/N.
"Y/N Are you Okay? We will get you out," I scream.
The screaming is cut out and then where the tunnel was opens again but door sized this time and nothing is in there.
"I-I-I think they killed her," I whisper holding back tears.
I run back to the Glade, into the Homestead into Y/N's room. I rummage in her drawer and find a hoodie of hers. I hug it tightly and breath in the smell of her. If only she was here still. Now I need to get out of this maze for her sake.
