Chapter 8 - The Hallway

You felt like Mr. Jeon was lying. You decided to put your theory to the test. You messaged him on Instagram

Kang Y/N - Hey Mr. Jeon, I was wondering if you could help me study tomorrow?

10 minutes passed. He hadn't even opened. 10 minutes turned into 15, and then 20. He wasn't lying. I guess I'll just ask him for help tomorrow, you thought.

Meanwhile in Jungkook's POV

20 minutes ago

Kang Y/N sent you a message.

Oh no. Jungkook was about to open the message when he remember his lame excuse. He couldn't even open the message. It took all his will power not to respond. He ended up falling sleep.

Y/N POV

When you woke up the next morning, you immediately went to Instagram. He hadn't read your message.

You put on your uniform and some light makeup. You ate a light breakfast and then left for school. When you arrived, you went to the library to check out a new book.

You ended up choosing a book called "Beautiful Creatures". After you checked out your new book, you went straight to class.

"Hey Mr. Jeon!" You beamed. "Good morning to you too Y/N." He smiled. "Hey I sent you a message last night on Instagram but you never responded. I was asking for some help." You said.

"Oh forgive me. I didn't see it. What did you need help with?" You smiled. "I was wondering if you could help me study. My grades have gone down and I don't want to fail my 1st semester finals."

He stood up and walked over to you, sitting on a near by desk. "Of course I'll help you. I excelled in all my classes. It shouldn't be too hard." He said, showing his bunny smile.

"Okay, can we start today after school?" You politely asked. "I was actually hoping we could start on Monday. I'm moving into my new place today, after school."

He's moving? Well I hope he moves somewhere nice. You and your mom got lucky. Your apartment complex was pretty and well secured.

"Okay, sounds good. I hope your new place is somewhere nice." He smiled and said "Why thank you, I hope so too." You nodded and went to our seat.

You hadn't realized Minhyuk wasn't there until the bell rang. Damn what am I going to do without him?

Class went on, but time seemed to be against you today. The period dragged on and on. Until the bell rang for your next class.

When lunch came around you were starving, but you weren't going to risk going into the cafeteria alone. Instead you made your way to Mr. Jeon's classroom.

Shit, its locked. He's probably out for lunch, what was I thinking? When you turned around, all the color drained from your body.

You saw Jisoo, Lisa, Wonho, and one of his friends standing in a semi-circle around you. Jisoo slammed you into some nearby lockers.

"What are you doing, Y/N?" You turned your head, showing your refusal to answer her stupid question. She slapped you and grabbed your chin.

"Why are you so quiet today, bitch?" You responded to her first question. "Nothing." Your voice was barely audiable. "What? I didn't hear you."

"Nothing!" You raised your voice a little. "Don't tell at me, whore!" She slapped you again. "I'm the whore?! Look who's talking!" She was seething.

She pushed you down to the ground and kicked you really hard. "Know your place bitch! You're nothing but a worthless piece of garbage!" She screamed in your face.

You just sat on the floor clutching your abdomen. You started crying. Lisa just laughed and slapped you once. Then they both spat on you.

Wonho and the other boy just stood there. Watching everything they were doing to you. FUCK YOU WONHO! FUCK YOU AND YOUR LAME ASS GIRLFRIEND! You screamed at him I internally. He was just sitting there watching his girlfriend beat you up.

COWARD! GO DIE IN A HOLE!

They were about to leave, when some yelled from down the hall. "Hey! What are you kids doing?!" They ran away so fast.

Mr. Jeon quickly ran to you. "Y/N? What happened?!' You winced in pain, as he helped you up off the floor. "Can we go inside the classroom first?" "Of course." He quickly unlocked the door and brought you inside.

"I came to your classroom today because I didn't want to be alone at lunch. And your my favourite teacher." He smiled. "But you weren't here, so I was going to go to the basement. But when I turned around, they had me cornered. Jisoo slapped me and kicked me. When you came they all ran away."

You were crying because you were hurt emotionally and physically. She had kicked you were you already had a bruise, and she was supposed to be your best friend. You couldn't believe she was doing this.

"Y/N.." He grabbed your hand. "I'm so sorry is wasn't here. If I had been here, you would've never gotten hurt." His head was down.

"This isn't your fault, Jungkook. It's mine for getting on their bad side." His head shot up quickly. "No. You're not blaming yourself. I won't let you. Those kids are just bullies." He tightened his grip. You gave him a warm smile.

Then the bell rang, and the moment was ruined. "I'll see you on Monday, Mr. Jeon." He nodded and you left. The rest of the school day went by way faster.

Soon you were on your way home. You were so set on getting home, you didn't realize the giant truck, parked outside of your complex.

Your mom was home early today. "Hey mom, how was work?" She looked up at you. "It was great, how was school?" You immediately looked down. "It was great. I spent my lunch in Mr. Jeon's classroom." She looked suspicious. But she blew it off.

*CRASH*

"What the hell was that?" You quickly went outside to check what the source of the noise was. The guy that was moving in, had dropped a box. He quickly picked it up and that's when you saw his face. No way.

You ran back inside before he could see you. You went straight to your room and screamed into your pillow. "WHY DOES HE HAVE TO BE MY NEIGHBOR!?"

"Sweetie! Come here please." You quickly got up and went to your mother. "Can you take this to out new neighbor?" NO, NO, NO! "Yea, sure." Was all that came out. Why the hell did I agree to this!

It was a vanilla cake that said "Welcome". You quickly went and changed your clothes. You got out of your uniform and put on some shorts and a hoodie and went to go give your new neighbor their cake.

You knocked on the door. You heard some footsteps and then the door swung open. "Yes- Y/N?" He was so surprised. "Hii, Mr. Jeon?"
