The Bad Boy and The Ugly Girl

Chapter 13

I was now in hospital, I don't know how long I've been here, my eyelids felt really heavy and I thought I was alone but I could hear the voice of a girl and a boy in the room near me. I slightly opened one eye and I could just make out a face with long black hair, it looked like... Selena and then I looked to the other face, catching the green eyes and it was Frank. I could hear Frank whispering that it will be okay to her and then out of nowhere he said 'I love you Selena', they must have thought I was still asleep.

Then will all my strength I pushed my eyelids open and looked at them both in shock, 'Oh My Gosh!!! She's awake!!' Selena screamed with joy and came to hug me. She was speaking softly and saying 'Alicia, I'm so glad you've finally opened your eyes, and don't you worry we will get back that guy who did all this to you! He will have to face my wrath!!'  she was squeezing me very tightly 'Can you please loosen up Selena...' I said between breathes making her laugh 'Oh sorry'. After she let me go and sat down on the seat across me. Frank rushed over to hug me aswell 'Oh Alicia, I'm sooo glad your okay, the doctor was telling me you have severe injuries and-d-d I was worried you wouldn't make it' 'Well I did' I said with a smile and pulled him in for a hug aswell. Nows not the time to discuss how he said he loved Selena.

Then we were all sat talking about how everyone will take great care of me at school when the door was slowly opened and in came James, 'Your awake?! Why did no one tell me this earlier?' He looked from me with happiness to Frank with a glare. 'Hey don't look at me like that, I forgot' He defended himself. James scoffed, he then got a chair and put it right next to me. 'Alicia, how are you feeling now?' His face looked so worried 'Don't be worried, I'm fine. Just a little pain in my ribs but I'm fine' He gave me an assured look 'Thank god! I should have come earlier Alicia, I'm really sorry. It's my fault that the b****** took advantage of you being alone' He looked away with a guilty look.

'James look at me, I'm fine but if you need a way to make it upto me you can always take me for dinner and ice-cream!' I said with joy and he turned to me with a greatful smile 'Anytime you want'.

Then the nurse came in, 'Oh she's awake! Everyone must leave now and let her rest. Let me get the doctor to check her and then we will tell you when she can go home' She flashed a smile at everyone before opening the door and leading them out. Soon the doctor came, gave me a few bandages and tips on different pains that might occur, after we talked through everything I was being driven home by Frank. I was so worried, my parents had a call from the hospital but I was told they didn't pick up so they still didn't know.

We stopped outside my house, 'Do you want my help inside?' Frank asked. 'Umm.. No thanks, I can manage' I got out my crutches and started to use them to make my way to the door. It was hard ringing to doorbell with my hands so I headbutted it instead, which was a bad idea because it hurt! Then the door opened and my mum's eyes started to water up 'WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!' 'I'll tell you everything inside' She then helped me inside and sat me down in the living room, she started to call everyone in the family and they all started to come in the room and question me. Then I explained to them how I was alone and this drunk guy came and tried to rape me and my dad's face was furious 'Just tell me the name of that boy, just watch how I skin him alive and then SHOOT HIM! NO ONE LAYS HANDS K MY DAUGHTER' Then my mum took him outside and started to calm him down but you could still hear his shouts.

You gotta love the protective sides of dad's sometimes, in the room now it was just me and my brother. He made his way over to me and whispered 'What was his name?' He looked angry aswell. 'What was his name, you can tell me Alicia' I just dogged the question 'I need to get some rest, can you please drop me off upstairs?' He sighed with annoyance at first from not getting the answer but then got my crutches and helped me up the stairs, which took 20 minutes.

Then for the rest of the day everyone would keep bringing me gifts from relatives and all my food upstairs, I've got to admit except for the pain left in me I kinda like this. It was now midnight and I was going off to bed when my phone beeped, I checked it to see a message from James on Facebook.

James: Hey, just checking to see if your at home safe and sound. Probably a bit late to message but I was just curious. Anyway Goodnight and sweet dreams. P.s. If you ever need anything don't hesitate to ask ;)x

I smiled at his cute message and shut my phone off. I slide it under my pillow and let myself slowly fade into sleep.
