@IDontEvenKnowAnymore i was a drizzle and you were a hurricane. 

I opened the door of the restaurant, making my way in.

Juliette smiled warmly and walked over; it was strange to think someone that seemed so happy could be so sad. 

"Table for one?"

I nodded and she lead me to the back of the room, gesturing to a table. I thanked her and sat down, focusing on the menu. 

My phone buzzed.

I laughed as I typed the last message, trying to big myself up to her. I could see her smiling at her phone in the corner, trying to hide the little device from her managers. She chucked it down and came back over to me.

"What can I get for you today?" 

"Penne pasta please..." I trailed off, "and your number?"

She smiled at my embarrassing attempt at a pickup line.

She was so beautiful. Strands of her hair fell from behind her ears and her eyes illuminated. Her smile made me forget all of my problems. 

She had the kind of laugh that could make you feel infinite. Feel safe. Feel invincible.

"You're pretty forward."

"What's the point in batting around the bush?"

"Next thing you'll ask me to sleep with you."

"That can come later," I winked to her.

She laughed again.

"When do you get off work?"

"An hour," she replied. 

"Let's go for a drink after, I'll be waiting," I laughed. 

She smiled and stood for a second. Hesitant. 

"I'll get back to you on that one."

I smiled when she called it a date.
