So I found an old notebook of mine (like from 2012 or 2013) with these in and decided to dump it all here with the hope that it inspires someone.
Further information, in the UK, have TV shows called soaps. Some references in this will be related to that. I'm basically just coping everything I wrote in the notebook back then.
Dysfunctional families
Example of these are
• The Dingles, Emmerdale.
• The Mitchells, EastEnders.
I mean we are talking cousins having children, murder, affairs, blackmail, lots of drama.
Create and write about a dysfunctional family who likes the Dingles and the Mitchells always seem to find their way back to each other, and family loyalty.
How Far Will You Go
Sometimes, in soaps you see people go to extreme lengths to keep a secret.
Example of that was when Cameron killed Carl King in emmerdale so Debbie wouldn't find out he had an affair with Chas, Debbie's aunt while Debbie was pregnant with her ex baby because they needed something from the baby that could save their daughter's life.
English shows are weird AF.
Write about the lengths a character will go to keep their secrets.
Crime
I've noticed in a lot of these shows crime seems to pay so that's the task here
Write about a character who gets away with their crimes.
Bonus points if you can combine all three together
