Chapter 6

***Josh's P/O/V***

I can't believe I just told her! I know she doesn't feel the same way because it's taking her forever to say something oh my god I'm an idiot. This might ruin our friendship and if Triston finds out there is no way he will forgive me either! "I... um didn't mean that..." I said. She obviously didn't buy it. Just then Triston comes up and hugs her from behind. I'm so jealous of him right now! If I saw her first then she would have been mine but nope why couldn't she have moved next to me? The school day was going by so slow god all the teachers are so boring. When I got home from school I saw I had a text from Rachel.

Rachinator: hey so about what you said...

Me: oh it's nothing

Rachinator: sorry not buying it! You know I'm with Triston and I love him

Me: I know I don't know why I even told you

Rachinator: I'm sorry Josh

Me: it's totally fine I just get a little jealous

Rachinator: ooh!!! I have an idea! My sister Ashley is coming to Missouri for the week!! She is turning 18 this weekend and I think she's totally your type!

Me: yeah I'd love to see her

Rachinator: well we are going to celebrate her birthday with a huge party you should come!!!

Me: alright I will

Rachinator: okay well I gotta go byeee

Me: bye

I wasn't totally cool with being set up with Rachel's sister but I need to get my mind off Rachel and finally meet someone. Maybe things will workout with Ashley.

***Next Weekend***

***Rachel's P/O/V***

Ashley's coming at 8:00 am today and I'm so excited cuz I haven't seen her in like 8 years! Triston and Josh are coming a little earlier to meet her, I hope Josh likes her. I was eating breakfast with my dad in the living room and I just kept looking at the clock waiting. "Aren't you excited dad?" I asked.

"I can't wait until I see Ashley I can finally see the better child for once," he said with a wink.

"Ha ha ha very funny," I said while playfully shoving him a little. Me and my dad have a special bond I can definitely call myself a daddy's girl. I'm honestly still really mad at my mom for leaving him but I guess she happy with her new boyfriend. Just then Someone knocked on the door. Triston and Josh are here!" I said jumping off the couch.

I put my plate in the dishes, run to the door and open it. "Hey guys!" I said hugging both of them. "Hey Rachel," they both said. "So when is Ashley getting here?" Josh asked.

"In about 5 minutes, let's go up to my room," I said.

As we were running up the stairs I hear my dad yell, "don't worry I'll do the dishes!" with a laugh.

"Love you daddy!" I yelled back.

We all started talking but I was too excited to talk much. Then I heard the doorbell and I practically jumped down the stairs with Josh and Triston trailing behind me.
