"Barry"? , Captain shouted.
"Yes I know I'm late but...",
"save it Allen I'm not here to talk to you about that".
"What do you need sir", he asked kindly.
"A little girl Carrie Maine is a victim of kidnapping and I need you to watch her for just for today..." "Okay", Barry said. "Okay just like that", Captain Singh said lifting an eyebrow.
"Just for today?", Barry questioned."Yes", Singh answered to the young man.
"Then where is Carrie", he walked into his office and Barry followed.
( Barry's p.o.v )
"she's not much of a talker", captain whispered to me. I looked down at the little girl hugging the chair she sat in I kneel down to her height.
"I know a place that has the best donuts in central city", she looked up at me smiling. "Really", I nodded smiling back "you want to go?"
"okay"
"my name is Barry by the way" "my name is Carrie" "nice to meet you Carrie", she jumped out of the chair and ran up to me.
"Okay Allen your dismissed"

(Jitters)

"What can I get you too", the barista asked. "Donuts every kind you have", I responded. "Are you having a party", the barista asked me.
"nope"
"ok anything else?", the barista asked. "Black coffee for me what would you like Carrie", I looked at the little girl. "Hot chocolate", Carrie wispherd. "Alright then I'll be back with your orders", the young woman left our table.

  "Mr.Barry can I ask you a question",the little girl asked.
"of course"
"will I ever see my mommy again"?
"I don't know", he looked at Carrie not knowing the answer her question.
"why did my uncle try to hurt me", she asked him.
"He was angry that's all, some people do bad things when their angry"
" are you my new daddy", that stumbted Barry he opened his mouth but no words came out.
"If you are I wouldn't mind", He looked at her surprised even if he did know what the future held for her he still didn't know how to tell her. He wanted to hug her and never let go, to protect her, to be her father but he knows it can't happen not now anyways."Here's your orders", the same barista from before handed me a large bag and our drinks.
"Thank you", Barry left a 100 dollar tip on the table and walked away with Carrie still not knowing how to answer to her question.

"Wow you own this place" Carrie asked taking another bite out of her donut.
"Yup"
"That's so cool"
"hey Cisco", I said. "sup Barry", Cisco walked up towards the both of us.
"Dad Cisco's boring when I asked him what should I do he said go read a book or something oh hi Carrie"
"how do you know my name" , Carrie asked. "umm I heard about you on t.v?"
"oh okay what's your name"
"Dawn Smythe"
"nice to meet you"
"Nice to meet you too dad did you buy me donuts", he handed Dawn a box of donuts.
"Thanks hey Carrie you wanna play"
"sure",Dawn grabbed Carrie's arm and ran out of the cortex.

I have been busy I was drawing a lot if you want to see them it's on viva video I will put some of my drawings in each chapter starting with the next chapter anyways until next time bye😋
