Virgil smiled and leaned against Patton. Patton moved him to where Virgil was lying on the couch and had his head on Patton's lap.
"pat-"
"shh, kiddo just relax okay? you need your sleep" Patton smiled down at Virgil and made soft, calming motions, playing with Virgil's messy hair. Virgil went to protest but yawned. Patton smiled and continued to play with his hair. Virgil felt his eyes getting sleepy and Patton grabbed a blanket putting it over Virgil.
as Virgil drifted into a dream he looked up at Patton,
"goodnight dad"
