Chapter 20 (A donation)

*Same Day*

*The bullet nearly hit Brady; he was close enough to the door to run out and go to the neighbor's house and call the cops*

*When the cops arrested Micheal, he was charged with murder, attempted murder, and dealing with illegal drugs* *He would be sentenced to life in prison*

*The cops walked to Brady to talk to him*

Cops- You alright son?

Brady- Yes sir, just have one question.

Cops- What is it?

Brady- Where am I going to stay?

Cops- You're going to be staying at a foster care unit.

A FOSTER CARE UNIT!!!! After the police left, I decided to go to the hospital because I got a text from Justin. 

*Brady gets to the hospital and enters Amanda's room, her dad, Justin and a doctor are in there* *They all stared at Brady when he walked into the room*

Brady- What's happening?

Justin- We heard about your dad.

Brady- How it literally just happened?!

Justin- It's all over the news.

Brady- Damn it!

Justin-Sorry bro, but I got some good news.

Brady- What?

Justin- We found a heart donor!

Brady- Who?

Justin- Me! 

Brady- No bro, I have to!

Justin- I'm doing this so you guys can be happy together!

*Amanda's dad gets up and leaves the room*

Brady- I'm doing it!

Justin- No, I'm doing it!

*The nurse walks in*

Nurse- Do we know who the donor is going to be?

*Both of them look at each other*

Both- Yes 

*4 hours later*

*The nurse brings Amanda into the recovery room*

Amanda's Dad- How is she, nurse?

Nurse- She needs to rest; I will let you know tomorrow.

*Saturday*

*Amanda's Dad left to go to the hospital at 11 am*

*When he arrived at the hospital, he went straight to the recovery room*

Amanda's Dad- Is she feeling better today?

Nurse- Yes, she will probably be on a ventilator for a while, just so she can get used to breathing with a new heart.

Amanda's Dad- Has she woken up yet?

Nurse-Her body luckily agrees with this heart; it seems that she has a very special connection to the donor's heart. Although she's still in a coma, its up to her whenever she want's to wake up.

Amanda's dad- Is there a chance she will never wake up?

Nurse- There is a possibility.

*He starts tearing up*

*Amanda's father goes to see Amanda*

*He sits down in a chair*

Amanda's Dad- Amanda, please come back, please wake up, just open your eyes and say something. *He starts crying* 

*4 and a half months have past, and it's now December 5th*

*Amanda's Dad and other people have visited her, except Ronnie*

*Ronnie also kicked Amanda and Abby off the cheer team*

*Abby is was fully out of the hospital on November the 1st*

*Amanda's mom was cancer free on September 28th*

*Thursday*

*On December 5th, Abby, Amanda's mom and dad and another friend were at the hospital*

*They were all telling Amanda about the positive things in life*

*Abby wanted to tell Amanda something personal, so she had everyone else leave the room*

Abby- I've been wanting to tell you this for a while now, but I finally quit doing drugs!

*After Abby told Amanda that, Amanda slowly opened her eyes*

Abby- OMG, GUYS SHE'S AWAKE!!!

*Everyone rushed into the room including the nurse*

*The nurse adjusted her pillow so she could sit up*

Amanda- What...what happened?

*Abby told everything that happened leading up to the surgery*

Amanda- Wait, so who's heart do I have?

Abby- Who do you think would give up there own life for you?

Amanda- Oh my god!

*She starts crying*
