One night I was driving home from my parents house in Colorado. I live in California and the drive is long and tiring.
I remember this night like I was last week, even though it was almost 3 years ago.I was driving through Utah and it was about
1 AM, I was tired and I'll admit, I was going probably 20 over the speed limit.
As I was driving down the highway I passed a car that looked old and beat up but also kinda newer at the same time, it's a weird description but it's the best I got. At around 1 I passed this car and after I got out in front of it, they put their lights on."Shit. Shit." I said to myself as I looked back
"Fucking undercover cop." I muttered as I pulled over and started grabbing my license and registration.
I looked in my mirror and I saw a tall built man get out of the car. He was wearing a hoodie and started to walk towards my car at a fast pace.
He got to my window and knocked, I was scared shitless, this guy could kick my ass just by staring at me the right way."Hello sir, I need you to step out of the car." He said
"If I can I see your badge?" I told him
At this point I wasn't even sure if this was a cop.
"Sir, I don't have my badge on me, it's back at the station. I need you to step out of the car. This car was reported stolen about an hour and a half ago in Aurora." He said intimidatingly
"Officer I have my registrations and license right here." I said
At this point the man put his hands in through my windows and opened the door from the inside, I was screaming like a little bitch. I was now certain this wasn't a cop. My first instinct was to just turn the car on, throw it in drive, punch on the gas and take off. But this guy was trying to pull me out of the car, I turned it on and put it in drive, it took longer than I wanted but I put all my weight on the gas pedal. The car jerked forward and the man fell down. I slammed my door shut and drove away while panicking.
I heard the pinging of gunshots on the back o my car, I ducked my head and drove away as fast as I could.
This was the scariest experience of my life, I immediately reported it to the local police.
I'm still scared to drive alone at night to this day.
