When I first saw this word I didn't know what it was. Good thing the admin of the book review made a short description of this word.
Here is Merriam-Webster's definition:
a short description that praises something (such as a book) so that people will want to buy it; a short publicity notice (as on a book jacket)
It sounded like a colloquial term to me. I don't know it felt like summary is better.
