Jughead's POV
Did I like Veronica? All these thoughts came rushing in my head. She did have that strange text on her phone. We'd been playfully flirting with each other this whole trip. S-snap out if it Jughead, You've known Veronica since you were in diapers, she was always nice to you as a child. She was quite beautiful though, the way her hair fell in here face when she laughed. The way her lips looked so soft. N-no, I can't develop feelings cause if I start to like someone my heart will break. Jughead remembered back to when they were kids. Veronica and Jughead were inseparable, they played with each other everyday. Veronica would help Jughead with his homework. And Jughead, would always bring the snacks.
One day (No longer Jughead's POV)
Veronica and Jughead were at the neighborhood park, that would soon be torn down due to gang activity. They were running around, happy, being children. Veronica run into a poll, falling down to the ground. Jughead ran over to the now crying Veronica. "It hurts Juggie" she cried out to her best friend. "It's ok Ronnie, it's gonna be ok" Jughead told her hugging her letting her cry into his shoulder. "Thanks for the help Juggie" Veronica said letting go of her best friend. Jughead always liked Veronica, but in this moment he knew he loved her. "Ronnie, will you be my girlfriend" Jughead asked Veronica in a soft voice. "Oh Juggie, We are to young to be dating, ask me when we're older, and maybe I'll say yes." She said giggling at Jughead. "But for being my knight in shining armor, you get this" Veronica grab Jughead's arms, and leaned in kissing him on the lips. Making Jughead finally feel safe.
But, that same day, The Jones's and Lodges became enemy's. Veronica and Jughead weren't allowed to see each other. But when they got to high school they reconnected, and never discussed there childhoods, since it was dark times for both of them. S-stop Jughead thought to himself, the past is the past. But then he stopped fighting what he was feeling and realized He liked Veronica Lodge.
