Tasha's house hadn't changed since he last came over, which was over a month ago. She had a few photographs hanging on the walls and above the fireplace. Being her childhood home, Tasha was so used to it she didn't bother changing anything.

"I don't have a ton to drink." Tasha hummed thoughtfully as she rummaged through the cupboard. "Ha!"

Tasha pulled out a bottle of beer for Gavin, "If you drink, you're taking a Taxi home. I can pick you up tomorrow."

Gavin smirked at her. "Awe, you're so cute when you're looking out for my well-being."

"Dick." Tasha stuck her tongue out at him, "You can thank Hank for the beer. The one perk of having an alcoholic friend is there is never not booze in the house."

Gavin raised his eyebrows as Tasha took a bottle of one of those girly drinks (legit what I call them idk what they're called but they're all I like lmao) and opened it. "Whatcha starin' at, loser?"

Gavin rolled his eyes. A trait he had of course picked up from her. He swore she rolled her eyes at him at least a hundred times per day. "I've never really seen you drink before."

"I usually don't." Tasha shrugged. "When my friends are in town and we get together sure but other than that I grew up with parents who taught me how fucked up alcohol can make a person."

There it was. One of the few and far instances where Tasha mentions her parents.

"But then I had Hank who drinks his sorrows away no matter what I say." Another shrug as she took a sip. "Another life lesson this kid has learned, you can't make anyone change. Only they can change themselves."

"How poetic."

"Meh, sadly I'm only twenty one and I have more life lessons than most people your age."

"I feel like you're implying I'm old."

"I am." Tasha smirked, cocking her head to the side as she watched him take a sip of the beer.

"What, does the princess want to try a manly drink?"

"If by manly you mean disgusting?" Tasha walked over to his side of the table, taking the bottle from him before pressing it to her lips, taking a sip.

"Gah!"

Almost immediately Tasha spit the liquid out, pushing the bottle into Gavin's hand while he laughed.

"That's fucking disgusting!" Tasha ran her water tap, rinsing her mouth out repeatedly while Gavin was nearly in tears laughing.

"Oh yeah, laugh at me." Tasha pouted, taking another long sip of her drink. "You should be nice! I sprained my hand!"

"You're going a little bit heavy on that, aren't you?" Gavin said as he noticed she was already over half way done her bottle.

"Nah, I'm good. I don't get drunk. Or hungover."

"Sure you don't."

"When you're shit faced and I'm still right as rain, you'll be wishing you didn't challenge me."

Unfortunately for Tasha, Gavin wasn't a light weight.

She had gone through nearly three bottles of her alcohol, and while she wasn't shitfaced, she was definitely tipsy. Gavin quit drinking when he noticed she was getting a little ahead of herself.

"Alright, Tash. You're cut off."

"Waaaah??!?? Gav, just one more. C'mon, buddy—" She went to grab another from the fridge but Gavin grabbed her wrist.

"You're drunk." He said quietly as he watched her.

"I am not —" Tasha stumbled on her own feet, leaning her hands against his chest to stay up. "Not drunk."

Gavin blinked a few times when he felt Tasha's hand move up to the back of his neck. "Tasha, what are you—"

"Did I ever tell you that you're actually really hot? Like you can be such an asshole, like seriously you need anger management, but fuck, Gav—" Tasha leaned her head against his chest. "I'd fuck you in a heartbeat."

Gavin shook his head in disbelief. Tasha is drunk. Drinking makes people say weird shit... Gavin tried pulling her gently off him but she just pressed her body further against his.

"Tasha, you—" Before he could finish his sentence Tasha had pressed her lips against his.

Her lips felt soft, her body against his enchanting him. Gavin moved his lips against hers slowly, one hand resting on her back while the other held her neck. Her body fit against his perfectly, but when Tasha began trying to deepen the kiss, Gavin pulled away.

"Tasha, you're drunk."

"Just a little bit."

"I'm not— you're not thinking straight." Gavin was holding onto her shoulders.

"But I want to kiss you."

"Believe me, I want to do a hell of a lot more than kiss you." Gavin sighed, "But I'm not going to take advantage of you when you're drunk. I may be an ass but I'm not that kind of ass."

Tasha smiled slightly. "You know, you act like an asshole to everyone else, but I know that deep down you're a loving person."

"Only for you." Gavin said as he lifted her into his arms. "You need to go to sleep."

"What about you?"

"I'm not leaving until I know you won't choke in your sleep. I can lay on the couch —"

"You — and no I don't mean this in a weird way, you can just share my bed. Don't worry, I won't jump your bones. Even if I wanted to."

"Are you saying you want to?" Gavin smirked at her as he laid her on the bed.

"I mean, do you want the real answer????"

Gavin rolled his eyes, "Go to sleep."

Tasha was silent for a few moments as Gavin laid next to her.

"Gavin, can I ask you something?"

"Yeah..."

"Why is it that everyone I love always leaves me?"

"What do you mean?"

"My parents. Hank. My friends. Everyone I love leaves. And you—" Tasha rubbed her eyes. "I love you and I know eventually you'll leave me too."

Gavin heart nearly stopped when she said those words. They were slurred, but it was still the three words he wanted to hear. Gavin shook his head, "Tash, I wouldn't ever leave you. I- I love you too."

Gavin was pretty sure Tasha wouldn't remember this night, and if she did remember she'd assume he meant as a friend.

Tasha smiled at him before cuddling into his chest. "Please don't leave me."

"I won't."
