Hermione woke up to the best feeling in the world- being held in Blaise's arms. Turning over to face him, she lightly kissed his lips, watching his eyes slowly flutter open and a smile grace his lips. He stretched out and pulled her closer so she was flush against his body, kissing her again and lingering there, his forehead on hers just basking in the moment loving her in his arms. Neither of them spoke for awhile, just gentle kisses waking each other up and getting more heated unti-
"GAHH!!" Blaise shouted as he was tackled by three small unseen objects holding him and Hermione down with surprising strength. Giggles came from above him as his two sons and daughter used any means necessary to stay on top of the two. Hermione laughed at Blaise's smooshed face and pecked his nose before she reached and grabbed their youngest child, 3 year old Marianna, and rolled over so Hermione tickle her mercilessly. Blaise however was over-powered by his twin 7 year olds, Nico and Cassian as they sat on his legs and chest.
Eventually, Blaise baragined for his freedom with a promise of a rather unhealthy breakfast- waffles made from cake batter. The kids joyfully hopped off them and raced down the hall to the kitchen to pick out the flavor they were going to use. Hermione giggled at her rather disgruntled husband and sat up, scooting over to straddle his waist as she leaned over to whisper in his ear " We can finish this later love" and climbed off him to go check on the kids, leaving Blaise hot and annoyed but at the same time, he wouldn't have it any other way.
He got up and slowly walked down the hall then downstairs, looking at all the pictures of their memories over the years.
-Flashback-
It was a beautiful spring day and Blaise was nervous as hell as he waited for Hermione at the alter. Everyone in their family sat in front of him, waiting excitedly for the bride. Harry, Ron, and Draco all stood behind him and on the other side, Ginny, Luna, and Lavender stood also looking expectantly. Then, he saw her and all his nerves faded away. She was absolutely exquisite in her graceful white dress as she slowly made her way down the aisle, clutching her father's arm for dear life. She looked up and caught Blaisr's eyes. Which instantly teared up and tears started sliding down his face. She was just absolute perfection and he was so overjoyed he was allowed to call her his.
-Scene Change-
Hermione lay in the hospital bed looking weak but smiling happily as the nurses held their sons out to them to hold for the first time. They looked at eachother, silently agreeing that these were not the last to come. Blaise reached out with his empty hand to hold Hermione's as they looked down at their twin bundles of joy, sleeping peacefully in their arms.
-Scene Change -
Blaise held Hermione 's hand as they walked across the park field. Their 4 year old sons playing with eachother a ways ahead. Blaise looked down at Hermione's very pregnant stomache wondering if Marianne was going to join them so they could all picnic together sometime soon. They set up their blanket and food and relaxed in the hot summer sun watching their children play peacefully and enjoying their quiet lives.
-Scene Change-
Blaise and Hermione putting all three children to sleep after their annual movie night, waving their wands to pull the covers up and turn the light off. Watching the children sleep, safe and loved. As they would always be. They would never know the doubt of whether or not their parents loved them or have to choose between light or dark. They would never be shamed for not being a wizard or what house they got into, they would always have a place to home to and someone who loved them.
-End Flashback-
Blaise reached the kitchen and paused, watching his wife help the kids make waffles and patienrly helping each of them at their own tasks. His heart swelled up with love for his family. There was nothing he wouldn't do for them. He'd sell his soul to make his wife smile and give his life for a few seconds with his children. He knew his wife felt the same and always would. The trials and tasks they went through to get the life they always wanted were by far worth it and not a day went by where he didn't thank the gods above that Hermione accidentally trapped them in the Room of Requirements.
Who knows what would have happened with their lives if they didn't have to spend that time together? He loved his life, his children and his wife even when he was annoyed or angry. His wife was his better half and his children his heart. If he could go back in time he wouldn't change a thing except maybe make them find each other sooner rather then their last year of Hogwarts. He loved them either way and wouldn't have it any other way.
Life was good.
