The morning light crept through the territory, the shadows of tall pine trees stretching out behind each one; light rain pitter-pattered against the soft ground. A couple walked through the grass peacefully, talking to each other quietly. The she-cat, who was light grey with pretty blue eyes, looked over at the tom

"Do you like ThunderClan so far? I have met Eucalyptus.. she's not as crazy as she looks," She smiled, licking his cheek

The brown tabby tom nodded, "Yes, but don't you think there should be more cats? I mean, look at WindClan... is it because of that former band of rogues that they all just killed off? Or perhaps the flooding or something?"

She frowned, then looking at her paws as they walked, each step crunching against autumn leaves. "Good point," She grumbled loudly.

They continued walking, but stopped to hunt a bit to raise their reputation amongst the Clan. After hunting an easy mouse, the grey she-cat known as Opal looked over at the tom. "Did 'ya catch anything yet, Tumble?"

He sighed, shaking his head in response. Opal frowned, and then decided to head back to camp to surprise the Clan that they went hunting.

The temperature was getting colder each day, and one by one would a leaf fall as well. Eventually, Opal and Tumble arrived at the camp, but were a bit stunned by the big group huddled by the Fallen Tree, the meeting place.

"A severe storm is happening near WindClan's outer territory, Stormstar," The black-furred deputy reporting to the tall, grey, dappled leader.

Stormstar sighed, his yellow eyes flicked from Ebonyheart to Opal and her littermate. "Hunting, I see? Put the mouse in the fresh-kill pile and pack up your nests. I expect flooding in the warriors den by tonight... we'll sort out where all of our warriors will stay."

Opal nodded, wincing a bit. Wasn't he happy that she at least caught something? Tumble looked over at her and let out a quiet sigh, and they padded to the wet warriors den.

Their pelts were already soaked because of the rain that was ongoing, but the Clans didn't mind since they had no control over the storms, anyhow.

Opal grabbed the clump of wet moss, her ears pricking as she looked down, eavesdropping on Stormstar and the group's conversation, pretending not to listen.

"Do you think WindClan will survive?"

"Maybe, Ebonyheart... we can try to convince them to stay in our camp?"

"Ebonyheart! Stormstar!"

She stopped listening as a she-cat yelled in the camp. She flinched, turning, her nest clamped in her jaws. She seemed quite interested in what was going on already.

"Are you eavesdropping on Stormstar and Ebonyheart...?" Her brother looked over at her with a smug expression.

"Eh!? N-no...!" She hissed, "Let's go, Tumble."

She padded out of the den with Tumble, sitting down where Stormstar was so they could place their nests somewhere. "Just a moment, Mistyslip...," Stormstar meowed to the she-cat who yelled earlier. He then looked over at Opal and Tumble.

"Good, you're finished... I want you to place the nests in the apprentices den; they won't mind the warriors merging with them." The white and dark grey splotched tom instructed, flicking his tail as he resumed his conversation with Mistyslip.

"We found a severely injured ShadowClan warrior on the border! We took her to the medicine den. When do we return her?" Opal managed to hear Mistyslip cry to Stormstar and the deputy.

Stormstar frowned, then saying something he wouldn't normally say. "Let them stay and rest. We'll assign Silverpaw to hunt and tend for her after she's being treated from Eucalyptus."

Mistyslip nodded, and they dispersed amongst the camp.
