We pulled into Graham's driveway, laughing and smiling. Our IKEA run had been honestly the best thing I've ever done. I shut off the car and walked around to help Aria out of the truck. I held her hand in mine and walked up to the front door, opening it. Graham was sitting at the kitchen table, sharpening a knife on a rock. He smirked at Aria, sending chills down my spine and making my blood boil.
"Upstairs?" I asked, looking down at Aria.
She smiled and nodded. She walked with me to the bedroom and sat with me on the bed. Aria once again intertwined our fingers and smiled down at our hands. She looked as if she was about to say something, but was interrupted when Graham walked in the room.
"Hey beautiful." He smirked.
I shot up from the bed and slowly crossed my arms over my chest.
Graham reached over and grabbed Aria's hand, pulling her up off the bed. My eyes widened in shock and in one swift motion, I had Graham pinned up against the wall.
"Stay away from my girlfriend." I sneered.
I raised my fist, prepared to connect it with Graham's nose or jaw, but Aria had screamed.
"Stop Lucas!" She shouted, her voice quivering.
I lowered my fist and backed away from Graham, turning to Aria. Her eyes were full of tears. She looked as if she would cry at any moment.
"Aria I'm so sorry." I said, jogging over to her and pulling her into my arms.
I heard the door close behind us. Graham had left.
Thank God.
I had completely forgotten about Aria's sensitivity towards aggression. I knew how horrible her last relationship was and I knew how much she feared I would end up the same way. I knew I wouldn't, but I will admit I have a bit of a rage issue when it comes to protecting Aria. I pulled away from her and led her back to the bed, looking into her eyes.
"We're gonna fix this okay?" I said, reassuringly.
She nodded her head and wiped her eyes with the palm of her hand.
I thought for a minute before coming up with the thing that would solve all our problems.
"That's it!" I shouted, startling her.
"Huh?" She asked, looking up at me.
I held both of her hands in mine and smiled,
"You can go to therapy. It will fix you and then you won't be afraid anymore."
She faltered, dropping her hands.
"I...I don't-" she began.
"I'll pay for it all, Aria. I want to help you get better." I said, grabbing her hands once again.
"But Lucas," she began, "I don't need to be fixed. Tyler does. He's the bad guy here."
I decided to drop the topic. I'll bring it up later when she's not as emotional. I kissed the top of her head gently. Aria looked down at her lap and smiled lightly.
"What?" I asked, a smile creeping onto my face.
"You called me your girlfriend." She said.
I smiled, bringing her chin up so her eyes met mine. I closed the space between us and kissed her gently.
"I sure did." I said.Yoooo. Really short chapter. Sorry. I'm having no motivation to write this story cuz I'm getting no reads and no votes and it's really hard to update knowing that no ones reading. I guess I'm just used to my stories blowing up because they're fanfiction...but this one isn't. Ugh it's okay tho. Anyways like, comment, be awesome. Love you all..adios!
