Chapter 31

9 months in...

Kaneki's P.O.V.

Hide was about to leave for work when I tugged on his arm.

"Aren't you going kiss me goodbye?"

"I am." He said before he kissed me on the lips, although it was a little hard because of my stomach. I put my hands on my lower back as I stood on my toes. He had his hands some what on my hips.

"Okay, I need to go now." He said after pulling away. "See you later. Call me if you need anything." He said before walking out the door. I sighed and put a hand on my stomach.

Time skip~~

I was in the kitchen cleaning the counters. If Hide was here he would have stopped me and have me sit down while he cleaned. Because I need to rest, but I will start to slowly lose my mind if I don't do something besides sleeping.

I was almost done when I felt a light pain in my lower back and 'down there'. I put a hand on my stomach and let out a little whimper. I stood there for awhile before water rushed down my legs, and I almost slipped and fell. I was now kneeling on the floor, panting, and sweating. I needed to call Hide but I'm to focused on my breathing.

I looked at the clock that was on the oven. It was 5:24 pm. Hide would be home in a few minutes. He gets off a five but it takes 30 minutes to get back home. I stayed there for what felt like to me was an hour, but in reality it was a minute or two.

"Honey, I'm home!" He said as he walked in the door. I didn't respond. "Kaneki?" He called my name before listening for me. He must have heard my panting because he came running to me. I clutched onto him.

"The...baby is..coming ...n-now." I said in pain.

"Oh god, oh god. Um, here I'll help you." He said before helping me stand. My legs were shaking a little.

"We finally get to meet our baby." I said.
