You're all smiles, your words
Gentle and comforting. Your eyes
The shade of honey, understanding
And soothing. You're enthusiastic,
Keen on everything you do. You're like
A star in the darkness, outshining
Everyone else. Everyone loves you –
You're an image of perfection,
An example for us all to follow.
Yet when nobody is watching, you
Transform into a hideous monster. Your
Face contorts and twists into a
Grotesque shape. Your expression
No longer pleasant, instead
Malicious and spiteful.
Your words drip with poison,
Slowly murdering all those you despise.
But I have seen. I have seen
Who you truly are. I have heard
How you plan so meticulously
Your next move to get rid of your rivals.
Your deceptions have failed; your
Mask dissolving in the light of truth.
For I have seen, and I have heard.
But I will wait. I will wait
To see the day that your mask is
Torn off, the day your true colors
Are shown to the world. Your
Masquerade will be reduced to
Ashes.
I will wait, patiently,
Never tiring.
It will come...it will come
And the world shall see..
