REPLACE PT.7

"Kwangsoo-ah. I want you to tell me honestly, are you okay?"

Kwangsoo felt exhausted yet in front of his Noona, he gave a bright smile. "Of course, Noona. Why is wouldn't I be okay?" Kwangsoo answered in a pretend-annoyed tone. Jihyo, being the great Noona she is, didn't buy it.

"You've been weird since the day before yesterday, I was just worried..."

Kwangsoo settled for an innocent laugh to ease the tension.

Jihyo seemed to sense that her dongsaeng wasn't ready to share his concerns, and decided to stop pressing him further.

"Kwangsoo-ah, if you're going through something tough, don't worry and come and look for me okay? You must take care of yourself," His Noona said kindly and gave him a warm smile. She squeezed his hand encouragingly and Kwangsoo felt a little glad that Jihyo was concerned for him.

"Of course, Noona. You'll be the first I'll look for," Kwangsoo smiled, masking the misery from his face. "Thanks."

Jihyo gave him one last smile, then she left.

"Complicated kissing?"

At her words, Kwangsoo halted. His mind suddenly hurt, and he stood stiff. His mind raced back, and he felt a sharp pain as the memories from his drunken state suddenly rushed back all at once. The background went blur, and the noises went mute in his brain.

All the flashes of images in his mind passed like lightning, but Kwangsoo recalled one scene especially well.

He tasted her lips hungrily. She respond equally as needy for comfort, and their tongues engaged in a rough fight.

Finally they relaxed, and Kwangsoo pulled Somin close, and whispered in her ear, "...Noona... I will always love you..."

Kwangsoo was stunned at the sudden memories which flooded him. He and Somin...

Somin. Shit, what did he do to her? Did he... For the past two weeks, did Somin keep it to herself? Kwangsoo had taken advantage of her, yet, Somin hadn't told him, or even complained?

Why?

"She looked really in love with you."  He vaguely remembered what the vendor had said before he had left.

Kwangsoo recalled the things Somin had always told him whenever he woke up from his drunken state the next day.

"Trust me, Kwangsoo. You didn't do anything to me. Don't worry. I was shocked at how gentlemanly you were even when you were drunk!"

Somin had always said that with her pearly smile and a twinkle in her eyes. Kwangsoo had always believed her words, taking no notice of what she may have lied about.

"Thanks."

Kwangsoo now realized a simple "thanks" wasn't enough. Hell, he felt so idiotic and fcked up inside.

He didn't know how much Somin had really done for him. He thought they were just going on simple dates to distract his mind, and nothing more! The words of the vendor came back to him, "She looked really in love with you.".

Somin... Did she really like Kwangsoo? If she did... Then how would she have felt for the past few days when all Kwangsoo talked about was his Noona? How did she feel when he kissed her, thinking she was Jihyo?

Angry, hot tears were now flowing down his cheeks in his regret and guilt. Why didn't he notice? Why didn't he see that he has been taking advantage of and hurting his friend all along?

As Kwangsoo walked down the path, back to Somin, he thought for a while, his emotions mixed up. What should he do now, now that he knew the truth, the truth that the past weeks with him must have hurt Somin so bad, and must have made her feel so unhappy?

Kangaroo was at a lost; he didn't know what to do and what to say.

He didn't know what he could do to make it up to Somin.

He hesitated when he saw Somin just a few metres away. He couldn't bare to face her now that he knew despite her smiles, she wasn't feeling fine on the inside. And worse, she only felt this way because of him.

Then Kwangsoo saw Somin pick up her mini pouch, taking out a pocket mirror and lip tint. She looked at her reflection and happily touched up her makeup, looking so relaxed and delighted now.

That's right. Somin liked Kwangsoo.

It was easy making someone who liked you happy, right? Maybe, just maybe Kwangsoo knows how he could make her feel better...
