REPLACE PT.9

"It's a beautiful morning with a lovely spring breeze; love is in the air!"

Yoo Jae Suk said in his usual MC voice with a cheerful smile. The cast members behind him nodded, as they looked around to see the mesmerizing landscape of flora and fauna. Behind them, alluring green pastures seemed to stretched for miles. The tall trees surrounding the film site reflected little rays of gentle sunlight, making this painting-like scene glow.

"Today, we have an exciting news to share with everyone," Jae Suk started, his composed manner suddenly displaced with a shiver of excitement.

"Congratulations to Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook; they are getting married this December!"

Loud music was blasted out from the speakers and the mood grew intense. Haha and Suk Jin was seen dancing wildly, doing their ever so popular hip-thrust movement as their arms waved in the sky wildly. Se Chan, who was given a basket of delicate rose petals earlier by the staff, pranced around the couple with a silly grin on his face whilst throwing petals madly. The said couple were blushing and exchanging shy glances, and finally Jongkook decided to wrap an arm around Jihyo's slim waist. Instinctively, Jihyo leaned her head against his muscular built, smile stretching the widest anyone had seen.

They were happy; it was as clear as day that they were in love.

Somin tried to join the festive mood by clapping her hands and yelling in excitement, but her face gave it away. Kwangsoo is probably crying inside.

The devil himself was looking at his shoes, his mind refusing to glance up. Kwangsoo didn't understand why he was still refusing to take in that his Noona didn't see him as how he saw her.

"Time heals all wounds, you just have to let your heart open up and realize your Noona's happiness and you will feel happy knowing you've loved her the best you can."

Somin's words suddenly echoed through his mind. Kwangsoo was, at first, confused why Somin's words were now ringing in his mind, but then he realized the meanings behind her words.

"Let your heart open up...

Kwangsoo willed himself to gaze at his Noona as she basked in her happiness with Jongkook. All of a sudden his heart didn't hurt so much. Looking at his Noona shine in bliss as she hugged her love of her life, Kwangsoo felt his heart slowly start opening up.

...realize your Noona's happiness...

His heart that had been once clasped so tightly, stubbornly refusing to let go of his Noona, now decided to admit the fact that she had always only had eyes for Jongkook.

Kwangsoo realized that even though it wasn't him that made his loved one smile, the fact that Jihyo could stand there in such ecstasy and so much gaiety was good enough. He didn't have to be the reason why she could smile; all that mattered was that Jihyo was smiling. And that was what it means to love.

"...and you will feel happy knowing you've loved her the best you can."

Stealing some petals from Se Chan's basket, Kwangsoo bravely let a smile take over his frown and stepped forward to shower roses over the engaged couple. For the first time in his life, Kwangsoo truly understood was it meant to love someone, and he was glad.

"Somin-ah! Somin!"

Kwangsoo called out in so much enthusiasm until he remembered Somin was still mad at him.

Now that he thought of it, why was she mad again?

With his newly recovered knowledge of his drinking experience, Kwangsoo understood that Somin could have been mad at him for a million of things.

Was it that he was a bad kisser? No, Somin had kissed him back. Was it due to his bad manners? Kwangsoo scratched his head in thought when he realized that it could be a possible reason for Somin's anger.

Or... Was it...

Was Somin on her period?

Kwangsoo vaguely recalled Somin's regular visits to the toilet recently and how she had suspicious bulges in her jeans pockets. In fact, Kwangsoo thought, Somin did get into a little accident just before the shoot... Kwangsoo remembered seeing a little dot of red on her shorts before his Noona hurriedly wrapped her jacket around Somin.

Kwangsoo was alien to the idea regarding women and their periods, but he wanted to try his best to understand Somin. He glanced at her nodding off while the members talked, and grinned. Okay, I've got this.
