Sechan got suspicious of the two since a few days ago. He, unlike his image portrayed on TV, was undoubtedly smart and observant of his surroundings. All it took was one smile exchange from the couple to confirm his theory: they were dating.

But his theory didn't stop there. To be honest, Sechan was a little intrigued by the two.

While he knew that Somin had a long time crush on Lee Kwangsoo, he also knew that Kwangsoo had been forever in love with Jihyo Noona. Even now, Kwangsoo still had that silly grin whenever he saw his Noona, except now it seemed less enthusiastic and more heartbroken. So how and why are those two dating?

"What are you thinking of, my dongsaeng?" Haha Hyung disturbed his train of thoughts as he sat beside Sechan. They were taking a break for the next episode of Running Man, and Haha decided to join Sechan who seemingly looked deep in thought.

"Hyung, do you know anything about Kwangsoo and Jihyo Noona?" Sechan blurted, ignoring Haha's question. Haha seemed a little taken aback, but smiled in reply.

"Well, all I know is that our Kwangsoo here is suffering a major heartbreak because our star couple Jihyo and Jongkook are engaged." Haha said in a "nothing much" tone.

Oh.

Wait.

Jihyo and Jongkook are engaged??!

"They're-"

"Yes, they are. They tried to make it not so obvious but, heck, it's as obvious as Jaesuk climbing up Kwangsoo like a tree and yelling 'congrats' to the world." Haha retorted with a scoff. "They're so bad in hiding their rings; almost the whole cast knows about their engagement already."

Sechan took a while to process this new-found information. He noted how focused he must have been on Kwangsoo and Somin to not even access the Spartace situation. Then Sechan snapped his fingers and his eyes glinted in understatement.

"Ah... I see..."

At night, when Sechan was free, he decided to talk to Somin.

Sechan: somin, you free to chat for a while?

While waiting for her reply, Sechan thought about how he should ask her the questions he had on his mind. She's really dating Kwangsoo, right? Does Somin know about his love for Jihyo Noona? Does Kwangsoo know that Somin actually likes him?

His phone buzzed, and Sechan enthusiastically snatched his phone from the table and texted her back.

Somin: yup, what's up?:D

Sechan smiled at her cheerfulness which could even be felt through the screen.

Sechan: i just wanted to know some things. it might be a bit personal, you don't have to reply if you don't want to.

Sechan saw Somin read the message and waited for Somin to consider.

Finally he saw her text, it's okay^^.

Sechan: you and kwangsoo are dating right?

Sechan took a deep breath and waited for her reply anxiously.

Somin didn't reply for a while, and finally she responded with a simple word: yes:)

Sechan mentally laughed at her use of smileys.

Sechan: but you know about him and jihyo noona right?

Somin: yes^_^ we're dating because of that.

Sechan didn't know if he should be proud that he managed to guess it out or sad for Somin since she herself knew about Kwangsoo's true feelings about her.

Another message from Somin made his phone vibrate again.

Somin: so actually he doesn't really want to date me, it's more like he's doing it to get over unnie. but it's fine(^^)/

Somin: i mean like I'll make him fall for me myself some day! keke(*ﾟ∀ﾟ)

Somin: and kwangsoo is also acting like my actual boyfriend! it's fun so don't worry oppa (^O^)

Just then, a thought struck Sechan. His eyes widened at the possible theory, and his fingers moved faster than his brain.

Sechan: it's not because he knows you like him right?

Sechan: *This message has been deleted*

Sechan felt regret flooding him and he worried about how Somin would feel if she actually saw the message. She didn't see it yet, right? Sechan hurriedly typed back a response to her texts.

Sechan: that's good! i have to go, thanks for the chat!

Somin: haha see you oppa.

Sechan breathed out, suddenly relieved.

"Aish... I almost screwed up..."

The next day, Kwangsoo appeared at Somin's doorstep.

"Somin, do you want to go out again today? Let's watch a movie!" Kwangsoo happily asked Somin with a hint of hope in his words.

Somin, her eyes filled with angry tears, spun to face him with an antagonising look.

"Go away."
