You were hanging out a bar by yourself. It was where a lot of the metalheads in the Bay Area hung out, and you vaguely knew most of them. They knew you well enough to know to leave you alone if you had come by yourself, because it meant you wanted to get drunk, watch the band and be left alone. But, James Hetfield did not know you well enough to avoid you. And he was far more drunk than you were.

"See that girl?" James said gesturing toward you, giddy. Cliff nodded, sipping his drink and totally uninterested in James' sexual endeavours.

"She's coming home with me tonight," James said confidently, gripping his beer tightly. Cliff rolled his eyes and walked away, hoping to find Lars or Kirk or someone more entertaining than a horny James.

James got up from his seat and sauntered on over to where you were at the bar. He sidled up next to you with a grin on his face. You turned to him, unimpressed.

"What?" You spat at the blonde. He was pretty good looking at first glance, but you weren't interested.

"How's it going?" He said, trying to be sensual. "I'm James,"

"I'm (Y/N) and I was fine, until you showed up," You mumbled back. Hard to get, James thought. He was going to have to try a little harder to get the girl this time.

"Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" James said the ridiculous pick up line, exuding confidence. You couldn't believe this guy, you had to show him up. Unfortunately, your comeback wasn't much better.

"Did it hurt when I kicked you in the shin?" You said, mimicking his delivery of the pick up line.

"Huh?"

You proceeded to kick James in the shin.

He yelped in pain, clutching his shin. Cliff looked up, and couldn't help but laugh at his friend's failings. You spun on your heel immediately, going for the door. You couldn't help but laugh at your shenanigans. James recovered and decided to chase after you, finding you running down the street and turning a corner. Finding yourself in an alleyway way, James blocked the only way out.

"Why did you kick me?" James asked, his ego wounded. He was frowning, appearing much like a sad puppy.

"The alcohol made it seem like a good idea?" You said, cringing, unable to convince yourself. James walked towards you.

"I just wanted to talk," He said, defeated.

"You should have used a better pick up line," You said defiantly, crossing your arms.

"Like what?" James scoffed, mirroring you and crossing his arms too. You thought it was childish for him to copy you, but continued on with the conversation nonetheless.

"I dunno, just not the one you used!" You giggled, trying to make light of what James' was making a solemn situation in farewell of his ego. "I don't know how you expect to get girls when you say shit like that,"

"Okay, you wanna know how I get girls?" James responded, ready to take on a challenge and prove himself.

"Yeah, show me!" You said tauntingly. This only made James more determined to win your heart.

James stepped forward into you quickly, jolting you, and you fell back against the brick wall of the alley. Your breath hitched, gripping the wall with your palms flat against the bricks. James' hand came up and caressed your cheek with a soft touch, making your skin tingle. His hand cupped your cheek and pulled your face towards his, making your lips collide. It was unlike any kiss you'd experienced before, because you knew James was desperate for your approval. And he had surely gotten it now.

You had tangled your hands in his blonde mane as his free hand traveled across your skin. You almost hated how much you were enjoying this, because James had annoyed you and now he was getting his way. Curse metal men and their charming ways!

James broke off the kiss, much to your dismay. Now you could truly appreciate the blue of his eyes, which was spectacular. He licked his lips, pleased with his work - a job well done. Originally, he just wanted an easy target, but what he got was an intriguing girl who he actually... wanted to get to know. You kept your hands slung around his neck, tracing circles on his skin.

"So, what now?" You said breathlessly, but almost certainly not ready for anything James might throw at you.

"My place, or yours?" He said, a smirk creeping onto his lips.

"Are you gonna fuck me and toss me aside?" You asked, tongue firmly planted in your cheek.

James laughed. "Well, I was thinking we could have a couple drinks and maybe, get to know each other a little,"

"And then, can we fuck?"

He grinned. "Most definitely,"
