Felix's POV

I left my mom as I walked straight to my chemistry class.

Everybody looked at me as soon as I walked in.

"Felix, you're 10 minutes late, where have you been?" My science teacher asked.

"From the principal's office..." I answered as I sit down on my assigned seat.

"Did you do something terrible again?" My science teacher asked, feeling annoyed.

"Ask the principal" I said.

"Don't make me throw this chalk at you and kick you out of this class..." My science teacher added as they continued discussing.

I remembered what happened earlier between me and my mom.

-Flashback-

Back then when I was little...

"Dad, look what I found!" I said running up to my father at the graden.

"Felix, why are you holding that insect like that?" He said as I hold the praying mantis with my fist as it struggles to move and breathe.

"Dad, I'm showing you that I'm not afraid of insects and I'm a brave boy!" I said confidently.

"Of course you are! But you shouldn't hold that poor insect like that..." He said as he gestured me to let go of the praying mantis and  let it escape.

"You shouldn't hurt those poor insects like that because they're important in nature..." He said to me.

"But not just insects, all of the things you see in this world too..." He added.

My dad is a scientist so he knows everything about nature.

"Okay! I promise that I'll not hurt anything nor anyone in this world!" I said to my father as he chuckled at me.

"Dad?" I said as I went inside the room and saw my dad talking to some other guy.

"Huh?" My dad turned around and saw me.

"Felix..." He said.

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be already sleeping? It's past bedtime..." He added.

"I can't sleep..." I said to my father.

"Oh...mommy can read you bedtime stories" He said to me as he gently push me towards the door.

"I want you to read me bedtime stories dad..." I said to him, taking a glance at the guy he is talking to.

"Daddy's busy, okay? Tomorrow..." He said and I nodded.

I went out of the room

I am now in my age as I heard the news about my father.

He died because of his sickness. He  was drinking his medicines but it wasn't enough to save him.

Until my mom came back home with another guy.

"Felix?" She said as I look at her and saw the guy she brought home.

"Mom, who is he?" I asked.

"Uhm...this is Dongsoo. Y-your new father..." My mom said.

"What?!" I said.

"Mom, I thought we promised each other that you'll never gonna get married again after dad's death?" I asked her.

"I'm sorry Felix but you also need a father in your life to guide you..." My mom said.

I look at my stepfather as I remembered his face.

He's the guy that dad was talking to before...

Every now and then, I always get suspicious about him.

Does he know anything about my father's death?

Whenever I always ask my mom to hang-out  with me or help me on something, she always decline it because she and my stepfather are going to some business trip or meeting.

That's when she started paying less attention to me and choosing him.

Because of that, I started to become a rebel. I always vandalize the school's property and everything.

-End Of Flashback-

"If only dad's still here-" I said as my science teacher cut me off.

"Felix, are you daydreaming again?" Teacher asked as I snapped back to reality.

"Uhm..." I trailed off.

"Felix, please pay attention. I heard that you're failing all your subjects. How would your parents react?" My science teacher asked, so disappoited at me.

"They don't even care about me..." I mumbled to myself.

"What was that?" My science teacher said.

"I'm sorry..." I said to my teacher.

"Please, don't do that again..." My science teacher said as they go back discussing our lesson.

I hate this life.

Time Skip >

It was now time for going home.

I waited for Guanlin to come out of his last period so we can both go home.

As soon as he came out his last subject, we quickly went out of the school before the school staff sees me and scold me about what I did in this school.

"So you talked to your mom?" Guanlin asked as we were both walking down the sidewalk.

"Yeah and it was terrible..." I said to him.

"Yikes..." Gualin said.

"So do you think you and your mom can still be mother and son?" He asked me.

"I don't know...but I hope" I said to him.
