The pain in the back of my head returns as I gain consciousness. A hiss escapes my lips as I slowly open my eyes.
What happened?
My eyes land on my wrists that are cuffed to the arms of the chair. I tug at them but they're held down really tight. I lift my head and study my surroundings.
Where was I?
I had no memory of how I got here.
If it hadn't been for the square skylight above me, the room would be pitch black. I notice all the abandoned equipment near the walls of the room. It's almost as if I was in an abandoned laboratory.
I then hear a sharp click in front of me. My head looks straight ahead.
"Who's there?"
"Entry 13...Subject has woken up 19 hours after DNA extraction." Said a disguised voice. The click must have been some kind of recorder.
"Who are you!?"
"Subject is alert."
"Where am I!? What did you do to me!?"

I let out a frustrated groan before trying to phase through the cuffs. But for some reason I couldn't. My eyes widen the second I realized my powers were gone.
