The preacher continues his sermon as the rain gets heavier and heavier. Every soul was respectively in all black with matching umbrellas to shield them from the raindrops. They all huddled around the casket and the grave, colleagues from the Keystone Police Department to those who knew Jason Chyre personally.
The Allen family along with Dante, Grace, Daniel and Elisa, were there to pay their respects and show some support for Josh.
Bree's eyes keep trailing away to where Josh was. He was separated from the gang to stand in front of the officers who worked with both Jason and his mother. One of the female cops, who she learned was Officer Camp, was more than willing to hold his umbrella for him. She observes as Josh slowly runs out of tears. His face was blank, as if he was numb. Bree was about to look back at the preacher when a young blonde girl tries her best to make her way to him, without drawing attention to herself.
She failed.
The pink umbrella was kind of an attention grabber.
She seemed to greet Josh by placing her hand on his wrist. It seemed to snap him out of his thoughts, since his blue eyes fluttered before they met hers. She spoke to him quietly before he suddenly engulfed her in a hug. The girl seemed surprised by his actions but she eventually hugged him back with her free arm.
"Hey," Bree bumps Daniel's elbow since he was standing next to her. Brett was with Elisa and she didn't feel like being near her at the moment. Daniel looks at Bree, only for her to nod in Josh's direction.
"Oh wow...she actually showed up." Daniel mutters.
"What are you talking about? Who is that?"
"Oh did he not tell you about his ex?"
"Wait, that's her!?" She whispered a little too loudly, causing her to get shushed by her father. Bree mouths an apology before turning her attention back to Josh and the girl she now knew as his cheating ex. She didn't like the way she ended up staying by Josh's side after the hug, keeping a hand on his shoulder and rubbing it comfortingly. What irked Bree even more, is that girl was the prettiest girl she'd ever seen!
