The next day

"Mommmm, Dadddd I'm going!" I yelled from the bottom of the stairs. It was Saturday morning and I gave up school work to go the mall with Kennedy.
"Alright hunny be safe." My mum said as they both came downstairs.
"Mani remember, n-"
"Yes pops. No boys." I said cutting him off.
He gave me a serious glare for interrupting but I just gave them both hugs as they kissed my cheek and forehead.
We were disturbed by the doorbell ringing. I guessed it was Kennedy so I opened the door.
"Hey." I said hugging her
"Hey, you look goood." She said
We giggled and she greeted my parents.
"Good morning mr and mrs Calvin. It's nice to meet you." Kennedy said politely.
"It's nice to meet you too." My mom said bringing her into a hug.
She shook my dads hand and he smiled at her .
It's hard for people to get on my dads good side but she was doing a good job even though she had a piercing aswell. They started conversations while I was waiting at the door for them to finish.
"I think Mani's waiting ." My mum whispered in her ear .
She laughed and I rolled my eyes playfully .
"I'm sorry ." She said coming over to me smiling.
We said our goodbyes and went into her car.
"Wait can you take an Instagram pic for me first?" She asked
"Sure."

Mani took a picture of me and i was gonna post it on Instagram later.
I met Kimani in the library the other day. I didn't mean to sound insulting by what I said. I really hadn't noticed her at school , but she seemed like a really nice person so I wanted to be friends.

My name is Kennedy Samuels I'm 18 and I'm cuban and black. I live with my mom and she is the black one. My dad left when I was young and he's Cuban. I have a boyfriend called TJ and we've been together for 3 months. I love him to bits . He's a drug dealer... him and his bro Chris. They're like the top of Georgia. "Where are we off too?" Mani asked
"The mall, we'll do shopping,eat and get to know each other more" as I said driving.
"Okay ." She smiled and looked at the road.
"So this is your car?" She asked me .
"Yep. My boyfriend got it for me." I said cheesing hard remembering that day.
"Aww that's so cute. He must be a very good boyfriend." She said looking at me.
