chapter 14

I smiled when I see Death is waiting for me at the car park. My car is gone which is I am sure he had ask someone to bring it back home.

I don't care about anything or everyone. What matter is my school is near to the end and I finally have someone who is willing to stand for me that I can call mine. I keep grinning until Death's arms is warped around my shoulder.

"I have something to show you. Come lets get inside the car."

"Really? Where do we want to go?"

"Its surprise."

"Okay." He drove off with a smile on his face. What a beautiful sight, enough to makes me forget the stressful school matters.

After twenty minutes in wondering state, Death finally pull off. I gasped when I scanning the area.

A beautiful secret garden with a balloons and ribbons is sticking everywhere.

"What is this place?" I ask.

"Wait here, and don't turn back until I call you."

"Okay, but please be hurry." Then he disappear from my side. I continue looking at this very beautiful place. How did he know about this place? This is the second surprise he give me after the engagement ring weeks ago.

This place is just make me want to stay here forever. The flower are blooming. There are a small table at the middle of the area with a chairs. And most important is everything is green and the air is so fresh. This is really a secret garden.

Suddenly I heard a soft music play somewhere then someone is approaching me from behind.

"Death?" I call his name.

"Turn around." I gasped and cover my mouth with my palm when he is come back with a bunch of roses. White roses.

"This is for you." He said. I take the flower from his hand without broke our eyes contact.

"What is this for?"

"We are celebrating your birthday. I hope you like this place."

"You.. you did all of this?" he nodded.

"With a little help from a friend."

"Okay, this is amazing. Thank you and I really really like it. You done enough Death. I may died on surprise if you keep doing this." I chuckled. He rubbed his back head which is I found it very cute.

"Actually I also have a cake for you. But since I don't know what type of flavour you like, I just pick the most beautiful cake I saw at the shop."

"Oh." A cake? He get me a cake? Now I feel that I really falling in love with this man.

"Yeah. Wait a second." He clap his hand and someone I never meet bring out my cake. She put the cake on the table, bow to us and left.

"Who is she?"

"Siena, my assistant other than Percy."

"Oh. Okay the cake is already tempt me from the moment I saw it."

Death smiled because he have no idea how do I crazy about cake.

"You can have all of it."

"I know." My answer make him laugh hard.

"Why didn't you ask Nova to be here? I like her company."

"She have a job to do. She can visit but not often."

"Don't be so mean to her. She is just a girl. She need a life."

"I know but she likes what she do right now. Like I said, she will visit if she wants. Besides, you have a phone. Make a call and everything will be fine."

"You are really something else." I pull out my phone and take a selfies with the cake, the flower and Death. Then I send it to Nova. I hope that will enough to make she pay me a visit very soon. She is the big lady boss anyway. She always can take a short leave if she want. I can only hope. After sending the moments that I have pictured, I start digging on my beautiful cake.

"You want some?" I ask Death, which is watching my acts without blinks. He stare to my face then to the full spoon cake.

"Its not make you died, Death. Its just a cake."

"What if..."

"You didn't want? My pleasure. Because when it is about a cake, I am very hard to share." His expression become blank and I laughed at his face. Serve your right.

"You are really like to eat cake." He pinned his eyes on me.

"Oh.. you have no idea, my big man. Cake is my life. I can kill for my cake. So you better behave yourself and don't try yo eat my cake without permission."

"Oh."

"Yes. Its really oh."

He shake his head and take his phone.

"Our marriage will be sorting out about one month from today. What do you say?"

I stop my act as I misheard his words.

"Wh.. what? Marriage? One month?" He nodded. Suddenly my body become numb and all my senses is stop working. Everything become blur and retorted.

"Yes. We will get married at the place you choose.... Autumn, are you okay?"

I don't know but his face is slowly disappearing from my sight then the darkness is consume me.
