Autumn

Nova is another story. She seem so curious about my current condition. I will never let her know that I am sick. She will ruin everything. So, I asked Percy to deal with Nova. My condition is top secret until I am ready to tell it to Death or Nova. Its my right to keep my secret.

Today I just stayed at the class room waiting for the next paper. Julia come to meet me and like always, she told me everything about her current situation. Such a gossip girl.

"Autumn, its like forever I have not seen you. How are you?"

"I am fine, thanks for ask. How about you?"

"Well not as good as you but I also start dating with Frank. Oh and I saw you on the news. Your fiance is a jackpot, silly. How did you find him?"

I shrug. I don't want to share anything with her about Death. She is strange and suspicious.

"Oh come on Autumn, you two get engage after one month dating. That is a record."

"Lets say he is looking for me since century ago. That is why we get engage right after he is found me."

"Whoa.. that was romantic ancient story. So he is a god or something like that?"

"He is not a god. He is death." Julia's face become blank for a second. Then she burst on a laugh.

"You now know how to joke, Autumn. Well, it is good since our next paper is history. I wish you luck."

"Thank you. I need it." She smiled and walk away. That is it. Swallow my jokes.

Two hours is too short. I sighed as the lecturer pick up the exam sheets.

"See you tomorrow, Autumn." Adele the student who is sit before me waved to me.

"Same to you Adele."

I walks towards the main entrance which is Percy surprised me there.

"Are you waiting for someone?"

"I pick you up."

"You pick me up with my car? Nice joke Percy." He laugh and closed the door for me. He take the driver seat and glanced to me.

"Nice car by the way."

"I know nothing about car. Its Death give me this car."

"Oh, but you have a driving license."

"Yeah. I got it last year."

"I am sorry for the sudden appearance. Nova ask me to watch you. She doesn't trust your words."

"I don't blame her. I just can't let her know about my illness. She will told Death if she know."

"You don't want Death know about your illness?"

"No."

"But you are dying."

"Yeah, I know it. That is why I choose to live. I don't want he to be sad or feel the burden because of my illness. Please Percy, help me with this one."

"He will kill me if he know I hiding this."

"You don't die that easy. So don't worry."

Percy chuckled.

"I am trying to be funny." I added.

"I know. Your schoolmates is weird tough."

"What do you mean?"

"You know they think you are cheating on your fiancee."

"Its make sense. But don't worry, I know how to deal with them now. Thanks to Death's help."
