Stephany growled and tried again, with all types of words. Things like "Ivy McKay" wasn't turning up anything, and inserting her room number only displayed five people. She sat back, frustrated.
"What's wrong babe?"
Stephany shrugged angrily, "Ivy" she spat, and Rylan instantly knew. He sat down beside her and wrapped an arm around her. "C'mon Steph, she's been on your mind for...how long now...about two months. Why don't you focus on something else?"
Stephany pushed the hand off her, "I know, I know. But I just can't! For starters, don't you think it's weird that she doesn't have her own profile? Everyone has one, even that Lea girl!" she said, as if saying that, if Ella had one, then everyone should. "Nothing turns up on her registry, and asking about her turns up nothing as well. It's like she doesn't even go to this school!"
She had stood up during her rant but now sat back down. Rylan sighed, "Maybe it's a glitch?" he asked. Stephany shook her head, "No way. This is Enchantments High, a magics school. They can definitely afford proper equipment" she scoffed. She took up the laptop again and kept trying, making frustrated sounds every once in a while. Rylan rolled his eyes, sighed, and left her to her own devices. It was better to let her cool off.
Meanwhile, Ivy was making her way to the principal's office.
"Oh hey Ivy, what's wrong this time?" she asked, a little wary now. Every time one of the Leas came, it was always because something happened. Ivy smiled dryly at her, "Nice to see you too" she said, "I need a profile"
Mrs. La'Lune instantly perked up. "Oh! I actually have one already. I was planning to install it sometime next week, but uh..." she paused, and rummaged through a few drawers full of papers and pulled out a USB. She went to her laptop, a sleek, black model Ivy didn't recognize and typed away. Several minutes later, she turned the laptop around and her picture popped up.

"Here you go," she said, pleased with herself. Ivy nodded, "Thanks," she said. Mrs. La'Lune waved her off, "No problem, no problem. Just don't get into trouble alright?" she asked. Ivy smiled a thin smile.
It was only after they left that Mrs. La'Lune realized that she had neglected to tell them that they had to fill in their profiles by themselves. Oh well, she thought, they'll figure it out.
Ella eagerly went to search up Ivy's name. Using the keywords McKay, she waited for it to be done loading, then...
"What?"
Ella showed Ivy the laptop, which came up with zero results. Ivy frowned and gestured for Ella to move over as she started tapping away. After a few minutes, she let out a laugh. "This sucks," she said. Ella looked over her shoulder to see the USB and a blank profile. "We have to make the profile ourselves," she said. Ella let out an unhappy sound. "That'll take forever!" she said. Ivy shrugged, "I guess. Let's get to it"
The first order of business was to get her age and room number. That was the easy part. Despite Ivy being a good two years younger, she had graduated alongside Ella due to her extraordinary IQ. Their room number was 2023.
Next was a section for some brief info on her, including her registration date and her backstory. Registration was on the same day as Ella, and her backstory went something like this:
Ivy McKay was recognized with magics potential and admitted to the Academy. She adjusted surprisingly well and is now a top student. She has been observed to have Ice-type magic. Click here for her schedule.
"Well then, that was easy. I think we should wait a few days though, just in case we forgot something" said Ivy. Ella agreed. They left the laptop on and went to sort out the day.
Maci was, predictably, out shopping, or eating, or anything other than, in her words, cooped up in the dorms. Carla was out too, unexpectedly. Tanya and Emily were still here, practicing with their Twin Magic. In fact, they had been doing so for a few days now. Everyone was getting used to seeing things in odd places, as well as more of the things. Just the other day, Ella went for some tea only to realize that the ones she had bought had been doubled. She had rubbed her eyes, and looked more closely, only to realize that, yes, they had been doubled. She had shrugged, though, and made some anyway. Extra tea, what's not to love?
Right then and there, no one realized what would happen. If Ivy had known, she would've finished her profile a lot sooner.
