It was the last day to prepare for school. As usual, everyone had different opinions. Maci didn't seem bothered in the least, chirping happily about all the "new friends" she was going to make. Tanya and Emily didn't seem to mind too much, as long as their schedules lined up. Carla looked confident in herself. She would be, thought Ella, She's smart and pretty. Unlike a certain someone.

Suddenly, Ella felt inadequate. Ivy noticed and nudged her. Ella sighed, "I know Ivy," she said before she said anything. They were close enough to read each other just by body language, "But I can't help it. What do you think they'll think of me?" Ivy shrugged, "Honest answer or white lie?" she asked rhetorically. Straightforward Ivy, maybe that wasn't always a good thing.

"Either"

"They probably won't notice you, though that's at best," she said. Ella gave her a wan look, "Thanks" she said, looking even more down. Ivy patted her shoulder, "Cheer up, let's go and check our schedules" she said.

Maci, who had been previously out the door, burst in with all the enthusiasm of an actor filming a dramatic scene. "I got 'em!" she shouted. Carla pretended to look uninterested, and let the others have their pick first.

Tanya and Emily breathed a sigh of relief. Ivy assumed they got the desired result.

Maci tore open the envelope and shrieked. She flipped it so that everyone could see.

"So what? It's not anything special" said Carla. Maci shrieked, again, "Are you kidding me?! Magic studies! That's something you do not see in regular schools" she said. Ella smiled a little at that, Maci was probably the only excited one among them. Even though it made sense, Ella had bigger things to worry about.

Carla feigned disinterest as she carefully took out her schedule. She scanned it over and placed it on the table like a playing card. It was similar to Maci's, except in time placement and...

"What's Advanced Rudimentary Magics Studies II?" asked Maci. Carla shrugged, "Its an enriching course for gifted people," she said, with a hint of arrogance. Maci didn't notice, and smiled brightly at this, "Wow! You are so smart Carla!" she said. Carla brushed her hair modestly. Ivy glared at her.

Ella made sure she went last and opened it hesitantly. She glanced at Ivy's, who showed her the stuff.

7:00 to 8:00 - Advanced Rudimentary Magics Studies I

8:05 to 9:05 - Mathematics (enrich) I

9:10 to 10:10 - Magic-based item crafting (hands-on) I

10:15 to 11:15 - Sciences (enrich) I

11:20 to 12:30 - Lunch Break (Provided)

12:35 to 1:35/1:45 to 2:45 - Languages (English is mandatory, please select a secondary language and return the envelope to a teacher or the principal), (enrich)

Ella peaked at Ivy's and saw that hers were similar. The normal classes like Math and Science were in different places, but otherwise, their magic courses were the same. Ella sighed in relief. So Mrs. La'Lune did get to change up the schedule after all. She felt a minuet amount better.
