Things had been quiet in the last five years or so. Nobody was trying to kill us, and as much as I was on edge, it was nice to relax for a while.

Ness now looked just like her mother, with the physical appearance of being in her late teens the too early twenties, but in reality, she was only five. She was currently being homeschooled by Kol, which was fun to see him struggle to teach Ness about Sexual Education.

Jake had gotten a job at the local body shop, fixing up cars, while I worked down at the Daycare center.

It wasn't easy to hide when you didn't know the faces of the people who are hunting you.

I got daily texts from Katherine updating me on her life with Demetri and what the "Scooby gang" has gotten themselves into this time. It made me happy to know that Katherine was happy. She deserves what she has now, after her life of pain and misery.

Jake heard often from Sam and the Pack. Sue and my dad were getting married, and Seth was now attending Forks College, with Jane in her final year of High School. It made me smile to know that Seth and Jane had accepted their fate and learned to love each other.

Kol hadn't heard from Nik in a few months, or Elijah or Rebekah. He kept in contact with Finn the most. The eldest Mikaelson was living out his immortal life, no longer suicidal or resentful, finally happy with a lovely girl who was called Luciana.

I smiled at Ness as she practiced her father's old song. Bella's Lullaby brought tears to my eyes as I remembered the day he played it for her.

I truly missed my younger sister. I saw her in my dreams every night. She was always in the meadow, a smile on her face with her golden eyes shining brightly.

I was pulled out of my thoughts at the sound of twigs snapping in the distance.

"JAKE, KOL, WE NEED TO LEAVE!"

The two came bounding down the stairs, they both had their backpacks in hand, and I slipped mine on.

We quickly ran out of the house, just giving Jake enough time to phase before Ness jumped on his back and we took off running.

"THEY'RE GETTING AWAY! GET THEM!"

I knew it was one of the Volturi members, I recognized his voice.

The four of us did not even bother to look back. We kept running, but we were out of places to go. We had been all over America and parts of Europe and Australia in the past five years, and we dared not to go near Italy or Greece, knowing there were more dismissed Volturi members there waiting to tear off Ness' head and Kol and I's hearts.

I didn't know how much we ran, by the time we stopped it very dark. We decided to stop for the night and continue our journey from here. But there was the one question we were all thinking. Where could we go now?

And then it hit me. The Volturi knew we'd never go there. That's the last place they'd think to look, as they've already looked there.

"It's time we go back to Forks."
