Well, this is it for Piper Amelia Swan. There's really no other ending than what I wrote, the rest is up to your own imagination. Writing Piper's story has been one of the most difficult stories I have written. She really made me step out of my comfort zone and really think in a different way and I am very happy with how she turned out.

It was always the plan to bring back Edward, Bella, Carlisle, the Volturi Kings, and Irina as well as Leah. It took me a while to decide how to bring them back, and when I thought of all the cruel things Esther Mikaelson has done to her children over the years, that this would be the way to bring them back. It hadn't always been planned on how I was going to kill off Esther, it just sort of came to me as I was typing the battle scene.

Chapter 14 was really my way of giving the different Cold Ones what they had always wanted. In the Witches of the Other Side gifting the vampires the ability to procreate was my way of giving Rosalie her happy ending and relieving Jasper of his constant bloodlust so he wouldn't be afraid of going out in public without hurting anyone. In taking away the burning and sparkling in the sun gave the Vampires a sense of their freedom back, giving them the chance to bathe in the sun again. As for Piper's wedding vows to Nik, I do have to admit that I did steal half from 'The Best of Me' from Dawson's letter to Amanda. When I thought of a way to express everything Piper has ever felt towards Nik, that letter spoke to me. It explained every emotion she had gone through in the last five years but also gave a glimpse of the emotions of the future. As for Nik's vows to Piper, I really thought about what he would have said to Caroline or Cami had they ever given him the chance to really be happy with a girl and what could have been if not for the series finale of The Originals (which I am STILL not over). I had thought what would be the perfect way to end Piper and Nik's story, and then I came up with the idea of giving them a child, which then prompted the idea of giving the Vampires aspects of their human lives back. My original plan for Piper was to turn her back into a human, but she and Nik fought so hard for each other, that it just didn't feel right.

As for what comes next, I do have more stories coming out, but not for a while. I have killed myself and my brain for eight months trying to finish this story. I started this story on January 5, 2018, and have been writing day after day and chapter draft after chapter draft to finally give you the ending of As Time Goes On. I do plan on taking a break for a couple of days or a week maybe, it is a much-needed one, but I will be back, and possibly with more stories.

I do have one more surprise up my sleeve though. This may be the end of Piper's journey, but you haven't even begun to hear the beginning. This is not the last you've seen of Piper Amelia Swan as she will be back as she goes through the journey of the first couple of Twilight books. Who knows? Maybe we'll see who she loved before Nik came into the picture.

I couldn't do what I do without you and I love you and cherish you so much and I hope that you all enjoyed the final chapter in Piper's life.
