Jealousy

Here I was sitting in Larry's bedroom absolutely pissed, as I watched Sal and Ashley flirt back and forth. You've known Sal a month before Ashley and had developed a full blown crush on him.

When he met Ashley at Todd's he had become more and more close with her. I know I couldn't show my jealousy or express it to Sal, because we weren't even dating. I was one of his "best friends" so yes, I was majorly friendzoned by him.

Sal was a really nice guy but he's so oblivious. I have such a huge crush on him and he can't even see it. Or worse he refuses to acknowledge it...Larry however has known for a few weeks now. I continued to watch the two. Immediately after returning to watching them, I saw Ashley reach out and touch Sal's prosthetic.

His ears turned a bright red, the way they would have if he was in the snow. He was blushing, this is what made my blood boil. I felt a hand in my shoulder and looked up to see Larry.
I guess you could tell I was getting angry and upset just by my body language. But of course Sal didn't notice a thing he was too busy paying his attention to Ashley. Larry reached his hand out for me to grab and I took it. He pulled me up quickly.

He then put his arm around my shoulders and whispered to me quietly enough that the other two wouldn't be able to hear it. "You gotta chill out Y/N. Your face is so red it looks like stream is gonna come out of your ears any moment!" Larry said. This made me giggle a bit and which made Larry give me a sideways smile.

Sal's P.O.V
I was sitting on the floor with Ash when I see Larry holding Y/N hand. This took me by surprise. It made me feel different..it felt almost sickening. They were my best friends, I don't know where this sudden feeling came from.

I turned my face back over to Ash who was happily smiling at me. I really liked Ash and I think she likes me too. After all she has been touching my pig tails, touching my mask and even going to hold my hand on occasion.

I was paying attention to Ash again for a few seconds I was trying to get back into the moment . But then I heard Y/N's laugh come from the other side Larry's room so I instantly looked over.

I saw Y/N laughing as Larry's arm was around her whispering things to her. That sickening feeling turned into irritation. I felt almost angry. Or like Larry was disrespecting me somehow. "Sally, are you alright? You listening?" Ashley said sweetly to me. "Uh yeah sorry I'm just kind of out of it. Hey let's go join Larry and Y/N" I said. "I was kinda hoping we could hang out just the two of us" Ash said in a flirty tone. At this point that just made me feel sick.

"Maybe another time Ash! We really should all do something to together for now" I replied as convincing as I could be. She sighed and got up.

I walked ahead of her impatiently. I rushed outside of Larry's room to the outside space between the building and his treehouse and there they were. Laughing and having a good time together. I don't know why this feeling was growing. I liked Ash why was I so jealous of Larry?

Y/N P.O.V
Larry and I had been outside for not even 15 minutes and here come Sal and Ash. I looked over at Larry confused and he gave me the same clueless look. Why did Sal come to us when he could be alone with his dream girl? They seemed to have been getting somewhere.

"Hey guys" Sal said and sat right next to me. "Hey dudes" Larry said causally. Sal was joyfully including himself but Ashley on the other hand did not look happy.

She plopped down next to Sal so close she nearly could be sitting on him. Sal scooted even closer to me. We all began to talk about random things. It was starting to seem like our usual gathering of just talking and having a good few laughs.

Until I felt a hand touching mine. I had my hand closest to Sal palm down in the grass. I was too nervous to look down but I knew Sal's hand was on top of mine. I blushed and looked over at him. He was already staring straight at me. He then intertwined our hands completely.
Ashley nor Larry had noticed. I was confused but I sat there and let it occur. It made my heart skip a beat that Sal started holding my hand.

Y/N P.O.V still
After an hour or two of us all chatting and talking we all decided it was time to call it a night. Sal had gotten up off the ground where we all were sitting before.He had pulled me up and continued to try to hold my hand.

We had been holding hands ever since he grasped mine, his thumb grazing over my knuckles as he held my hand in his. But now that we were standing and our other two friends could see I let go of Sal.

Neither of our friends had noticed because they were giving each other goodbyes. Ashley gave Larry a friendly side hug and did the same to me. But when it came to Sal... she tried to embrace him full on when she finally achieved this Sal seemed to tense up and she awkwardly tried to prolong the hug.

Sal reacted strangely considering he has a crush on her not only did he tense up but he also pulled away and didn't even give her a verbal goodbye. He just awkwardly waited around as I hugged Larry.

Sal seemed to be impatiently waiting for me and Larry to be finished. He was starring and just standing there he even piped up saying "Y/N we live on the same floor let's go together". I nodded and waved goodbye to Larry and Sal gave a "goodnight dude". "Hasta la vista!" Larry said to both of us. This made me chuckle hearing his go to goodbye.

As soon as we got in the elevator Sal grabbed my hand once more. We stayed like this. The elevator ride seemed longer than usual. We got to our floor and Sal didn't let go.

So I led us back to my apartment. I released his hand once again and went to enter my apartment before he stopped me. "I like you". My heart started beating like crazy. "What?" I said. "I like you a lot I know I've said I have a crush on Ashley but I don't. I realized that I liked you after I saw you and Larry together...I felt so jealous..." Sal said his confession quietly and was waiting for a response. "I was jealous too. I've liked you since I met you Sal" I then quickly gave his prosthetic a quick kiss on the lips. They were cold and smooth I know it was plastic but I felt so nervous doing it.

Nothing could have prepared me for the next thing. Sal quickly lifted his mask and gave me a quick peck on the lips. "I'll see you tomorrow Y/N" I nodded  and hugged him quickly before he left. "Oh and text me!" He said halfway down the hall. I laughed at this and entered my apartment.
