Well this was set to be an interesting day. After an extremely quick breakfast, due to a certain very late sleeping snake, i ran with the golden trio and Mark to the dungeons. I hadn't really spoken to Snape but everyone told me he was awful.

"10 points from Griffindore, you are 10 minutes late. Now take your seats." The first thing i though when i saw the dungeons was 'Nico would love this'. It was so dreary i think death would find it slightly creepy. I ended up sitting next Mark who, i was told, we one of best in the class, even beating Hermione. That was a feat in itself.

"Today we will be making a draught of black death. You have 20 minutes to read the instructions and prepare your ingredients, then 45 to brew the draught. I will test them each individually before you leave. Begin."

Despite my limited knowledge of the ingredients, according to Mark i was doing amazingly. It wasn't actually that hard. After translating the instructions to greek i found them reasonably easy to follow. Anytime i didn't understand something, Ky would hiss the answer in my ear.

At the end i looked to my potion. It looked how it said it was supposed to in the book, so i was reasonably pleased. I looked towards Mark who's potion, which was supposed to be pitch black, was a bubbling blue-grey. Hermione's looked identical. Ron and Harry weren't so lucky. Their potions were brightly coloured and bubbling frantically.

"Potter, Weasley, 20 points from Griffindore for improper use of the potions lab." Harrys jaw dropped whilst Ron was trying madly to control the two potions.

"Granger, not bad." Hermione smiled a little, then went to work putting her stuff away.

"Malfoy, not too bad either." I didn't miss the look they shared. I knew Snape cared a great deal for Mark. When he came to my potion Snape stopped in his tracks. He looked at it suprised.

"Jackson. This is...this is perfect. 20 points to Griffindore. I believe this may be the best draught of black death i have ever seen. I don't doubt that one drop could kill us all." The students attention had been drawn to me like a monkey to a cupcake. Apparently Snape doesn't praise people often.

"I expect great things Mr Jackson." He said as he walked away, leaving me as red as a tomatoe. Lets just hope transfiguration isn't as embarassing.

* i am Bob, and i will be your line break for this story. In the case of an emergency the exits are located here, here and here. Have fun reading.*

"Mr Jackson, well done. You are the first to have done this correctly." McGonigal said, praising me yet again. Only having to say what i want in ancient greek was making everything too easy. McGonigal called me to her office whilst everyone else tried to transfigure their chairs into a dog.

"Mr Jackson, are you aware of a thing called an animagus?" She asked, i shook my head.

"Well, an animagus is someone who can change form into the animal that most represents them. My animagus form is a cat for example. I think this may benefit you, not only in your time at hogwarts, but also in the future. Especially considering your role in this upcoming war." She said. In all truth i was struggling to take this all in, though being able to turn into an animal did sound quite cool.

I would do it if i were you Percy, it may come in handy. Ky hissed in my ear. We had come up with a way for Ky to rest on my shoulders, close enough to my ear that if she whispered something i could hear it. I nodded.

"Okay professor, what do i need to do?"

*TIME LAPSE. END OF CLASS*

What a mistake i had made. Sure the idea of turning into an animal was cool, but the amount of energy it used up was extortionate. McGonigal first cast a spell to see if i could be an animagus, and my animagus form was a large, winged wolf. To say that was a surprise was an understatement. I was expecting a fish or some kind of horse. Plus i didn't even think there were such things as winged wolves. Oh well, there is now.

After half an hour of schooling i could just about half change. I would grow long wings with blue feathers tipped with black. My face would elongate into a snout and hair would grow all over my body. I'd also gain a couple inches. McGonigal had set up lessons for me every saturday, though she said i'd only need a few to master it.

"Hey Percy, what did McGonigal want?" Ron asked when i sat down to lunch. I groaned and held my head, trying to ease the throbbing. Ky glowed bright green before dimming again. My headache began to relieve itself and i knew she had healed me.

:thanks: i hissed before turning my attention back to the others.

"Turns out i'm now almost an animagus." Harry smiled brightly at me.

"Just like Sirius, his form is a large black dog. Thats why we call him padfoot. Whats your form?" He said extremely quickly. I internally smirked at his eagerness. Maybe we could be the new marauders.

"A blue and black winged wolf." There was a moment of silence before they all smiled at me.

"Wow, looks like we have two padfoot's." I had to laugh at that.

"Right back at ya prongs." Harry glowed a bright red. I should seriously speak to McGonigal about including these three in our lessons. With what they will have to go through no doubt something like this might come in handy.

After a good hearty lunch we made our way Divination. Rachel would be in heaven.

We climbed a rickety ladder only to enter a small attic-like room that smelled like someone had lit a thousand scented candles.

"Come, come. Sit and i shall show you a demonstration. Today we are learning about the art of palm reading. Mr Jackson, you shall do just fine. Come sit here please." Why in the Hades (sorry uncle H) did everything happen to me. I obeyed Trelawny's wishes and sat in front of her. She took my hand in one hand, and stroked my palm with another. All of a sudden her eyes turned misty and she croaked. Not another prophesy.

"The child of the sea shall mark the dark lord as the enemy of another....not only need he help but he need be hero.....one shall betray by a family bond....blood will be spilled of both sides....time and earth will take the sky.....a last stand of wisdom." Holy shit. I was in trouble. All of a sudden Trelawny snapped back to her real self.

"Did i say something dear?" She asked. I shook my head.

"No, but i think i need to see professor Dumbledore, it's ergent." Trelawny looked at me with understanding, and gave me an out of class pass. I practically sprinted to the headmasters office.

HERMIONE POV (only short)

That prophesy was obviously conserning Percy, Harry and Voldemort. Everyone else in class just took it as Trelawny's usual weird ness, but some of us knew better. Time to get analysing. I took out a peice of parchment and scribbled the prophesy down.

The child of the sea shall mark the dark lord as the enemy of another....not only need he help but he need be hero.....one shall betray by a family bond....blood will be spilled of both sides....time and earth will take the sky.....a last stand of wisdom.

Well, child of the sea was obviously Percy. He is marking the dark lord as the enemy of Harry. He has to be the Hero. One of his family members will betray him. People are going to die. Kronos and Gaea will take some part of Zeus. A last stand of some part of Athena. So basically, Percy is screwed.
