A/n After for fucking ever. Jesus Christ I'm sorry in all honesty I forgot I had this book. It had quite a few reads so I should probably write more.))

Elijah sat in his car sighing to himself. He woken from a terrible nightmare early this morning and he wasn't looking forward to working. He had bought coffee for his father though, and it was getting cold so he had better hurry up.

Once inside the building, he nodded to the desk lady, whom he never remembered the name of, and went to his father's office.

With a small knock, Elijah stepped inside and placed the coffee on the big desk. Edward was nowhere in sight so Elijah took a seat and waited for him to come back from whatever he was doing.

Looking around the office he thought about why he had been called here. Surely it wasn't to have a good chat with his father. That didn't happen nowadays. It was strictly professional between the two.

Sometimes Elijah got upset about it, but it was easier to just get on with im his job. He was lucky to have this job anyway.

Before he got his degree he was working at a donut shop, it was his father's idea to find somewhere else to earn money.

The asylum seemed like a great idea at the time.

But now, Elijah wasn't too sure if he had made the right decision. Everything was so stressful, especially with Piper, Peter as an add on. He wasn't used to two patients at one time so it was bound to be exhausting.

While he thought, he hadn't noticed a small boy upside down on the ceiling right above him. The boy smiled to himself looking at the desk and then at the door when it opened.

Elijah turned his head as Edward strolled in, rolling his eyes when they landed on his son.

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be worrying about your patient?" Edward walked over to his desk, taking the coffee and sipping it while Elijah frowned.

"You, Uhm, you called me here. Sir" Edward tilted his head looking up at the ceiling, of course not seeing Peter but Elijah followed his father's gaze and sighed seeing the small boy who waved his hand, laughing.

Edward chuckled to himself, making both Elijah and Peter turn their heads "that's right, I did call you. I wanted an update." Elijah raised an eyebrow "an update?" Edward rolled his eyes putting the coffee down "on your patient? Patient 358?" Elijah nodded "oh yes of course...Piper. Well you see..."

Elijah was a bit stuck on what to say. He couldn't say what he'd actually discovered. It sounded way too out there. If he said anything about a ghost of Pipers dead brother then he'd be fired for sure.

Peter stared at Elijah, coming back down to the floor and sitting on the desk "go on. Tell them about me. They won't believe you so it doesn't matter" Elijah glanced at the boy and Edward frowned looking at the spot on the desk Elijah was looking "Elijah? You still with me?"

Elijah quickly brought his focus back to Edward. "No! I mean yes. Sorry, I've been a bit...absent minded...what were we talking about?" Edward sighed "patient 358"

Elijah nodded "of course. Piper is showing progress I guess. Although I'd suggest moving her to a different room, she has tendency to hurt herself so a padded room would be for the best. And I was wondering if there was anyway to have Piper interact with any of the other patients? It would do that girl a world of good if she could have a positive influence around."
