The Genesis Squad:
Profile: The Genesis Squad is made up of the first to be infected by the superhuman virus. After escaping from those who tested it on them, they went into hiding for four years, to train and develop their powers. But, upon being drawn out and getting new recruits, they decide to fight for the humans against any new superhuman threats. The Genesis Squad is secretive, heroic, and has the most experience out of any of the superhuman teams. They are classified as "Speed and Defense" types."

Roland Renner- Illusion Caster. One of the first to be experimented on, Roland helped others survive and became leader of the Genesis Squad. Roland is serious, analytical, and knows his teammates well. He believes that it is their duty to keep the humans safe from other evils, since he used to be one of them. Still, he will defend his team at any cost.

Aaron Moore- Telekinetic. A young schoolboy; Aaron is shy, quiet, and curious about his new powers. At first, he is naive to the new world around him. While initially apprehensive towards the group, he realizes he must join them for his own survival, and that of the people around him.

Jasper Reed- Force field creator. Class President of Utopia High; Jasper is overconfident and commanding. After learning he isn't the only one with powers, he must adapt to being a team player. Still, he highly distrusts the team around him.

Cooper- Enhanced Senses. One of the original test subjects of Genesis Labs, Cooper is the most bitter towards Judas Silver. He's determined, a risk-taker, and always eager for a fight. Since he doesn't have an offensive power like the rest of the Squad, he trains his senses to the breaking point.

Tempest- Wind Manipulation. After his time being experimented on, Tempest grew apprehensive towards normal humans. In trying to survive, he saw many of his fellow Squad members killed. Because of this, Tempest is a quiet watcher of others. However, he has an untapped rage when he unleashes his powers.

Erik Hessen- Speedster. After joining the team a year prior to the events of the book, Erik was designated as their messenger and superhuman tracker. Erik is quick-witted, sarcastic, and impatient. However, he will not hesitate to use his powers to their full extent when the team is threatened.

Syke-Light Manipulator. The medic of the Genesis Squad, Syke rarely gets out on the battlefield. However, when she does, she becomes a valuable player on the team; being able to manipulate light energy with her newfound powers. Syke is resourceful, caring, and is considered to be Roland's conscience when it comes to the larger disputes.
