Samantha's POV
I walk over to the speaker station in Austin's room. I turn it on and grab his phone. I go on YouTube and search up the song I want. I station his phone into the speaker station. Becomes the Color by Emily Wells comes in. I turn up the volume and wait for Austin to wake up. Why is everyone sleeping? It's like 8 in the morning. People are lazing these days. The song finishes and Clown by Emeli Sande. Austin hasn't woken up so I decide to put something more loud. I go with Numb by Linkin Park. When the song hit a loud note, Austin started to stir but he doesn't quite wake up yet. I feel disappointed but I get an idea. I get up on the bed, standing above him, and I start jumping. I hadn't done this since I was ten, back when I was allowed to do some of the things I wanted. Coming into Austin's room to wake him like this was one of them.
"Austin, wakey-wakey!" I laugh.
He stirs and starts waking.
"What the hell?" I hear him whisper as he starts realizing that I'm on his bed. Jumping.
"Samantha, what are you doing? Get off my bed. You'll break the springs," he's still waking. Why is he taking so long to realize that I'm really here?
"AUSTIN, WAKE UP!" I yell at him.
"Woah!" Austin sits up. "Jesus, lady, no need to yell!"
"I love you, big brother," I say.
He looks up at me. He smiles. "I love you too. What are you doing here anyway? Does April know you're here?"
Austin gets out of this bed and starts getting dressed into some blue jeans.
"Oh yeah, she does," I say with a grin on face. "If you're going to ask if she did something to me then no, she didn't. I think she has finally learned her place."
He looks at me funny. "What does that mean?"
"Oh, did big brother forget?" I pout. "I'm Luna, remember? She isn't. She needs to show respect. So I took something from her for not doing so."
"What did you do?"
"Why does everyone keep asking me that?" I ask. "It makes me feel like a lunatic."
"Maybe we're worried and you should answer it," he answer.
I make a face at him. "Maybe; maybe not."
Austin looks at me with the brother look. The one that says tell-me-or-I'll-tell-mom-and-dad. I roll my eyes at him.
"You do know that you can't tell mom and dad because they died, right?" I ask him.
"Yeah, I do," He replies. "That made me Alpha of this pack."
This pack which will soon be ashes on the ground.
"Awe, poor baby," I coo.
He continues to look at me. His eyebrow goes up.
"Fine," I sigh exasperated. "She's infertile now."
Austin blinks at me. "You took her ability to have kids?"
I smile. "You should be happy that it wasn't you."
"Are you planning to do something to me?" His face turns sour. I grin.
"I'm still thinking," I wink.
"Mother would be disappointed in this," he says after a while.
"Which mother? Yours? Yours would beat to me to the point of dying. Mine? She hasn't been in the picture for the past 21 years, Austin. Except for that one month when I drowned," I say. "So tell me which one you are talking about?!"
