I was peacefully lying down on my soft bed when Jennie suddenly barged into the room. I didn't know there was something wrong until she lied beside me and hugged me.

"Yahhh! What's wrong?" I got concerned.

"I don't stand a chance with Lisa. I just saw her giggling while hugging a pretty girl earlier." Jennie sighed. I never thought she's this serious with her feelings with Lisa.

"You do know that you can't assume that right? She also hugs you and giggles. Same with Chaeyoung." I comforted her.

"You didn't even ask her." I added.

Jennie just sighed.

"I don't know. This is the first time I felt this way. It's like you're not good enough for someone? You know how confident I am Jichu." She finally spoke.

"Aishhh, don't think that way Jendeukie. She'll eventually see how amazing you are." I smiled at my bestfriend who looks like a dumpling right now. I saw her phone vibrating, Chaeyoung was calling.

"Aren't you going to answer that?" I asked.

"Not tonight, I don't feel well. Lisa probably asked her to call me or something. I suddenly backed out earlier, didn't even say hi, Lisa and I were supposed to go out." Jennie said and I just nodded.

"Okay. Go to sleep then Jendeuk. You can sleep beside me." I said and Jennie just hummed and shifted to be more comfortable.

C H A E Y O U N G

It's been an hour, I thought Lisa was going to follow? It's night time and I don't think it's safe for her to be alone outside. I texted her but no reply. Ugh, fuck this, i'll go look for her.

It was a bit scary in the campus at night time, there are street lights but a little bit dim. I started to look for her at the bleachers since we separated ways there. I was approaching the dimly lit field when I heard voices. I heard a guy's voice and he was angry. Is there a fight? Being a little curious, I tried to get closer to where the noise was coming from.

"You fucking coward——" wait. That's Lisa's voice. Shit.

I ran towards the commotion and I was almost on my knees when I saw Lisa being beaten up by guys I can't recognize.

"LISA!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. On instinct, I started to scream for help and the boys ran in panic.

I ran towards Lisa and kneeled beside her.

"Oh my god, Lisa." I cried. I can't stop crying. She was unconscious and her face was bleeding from all the cuts.

"Hang on Lisa, please, help's coming." I held her face softly while I'm still a crying mess. A school guard heard me and approached us hurriedly, calling the school's hospital.

The ambulance came and we were on our way to the hospital. I was beside Lisa and I'm still shaking from crying. I tried to call Jennie but she wasn't answering, tried to call Jisoo but I can't reach her phone as well. I called Nayeon and thank god she answered.

"Hey Nayeon. I'm sorry for disturbing you but I really need someone right now. Lisa was rushed to the hospital, she's hurt." I sniffled on the phone. Nayeon panicked as well and said she'll hurry up.

Lisa's at the hospital bed right now. She's still not awake. I'm so scared. A few minutes later, Nayeon arrived.

"Oh my god, what happened to her Chae?" Nayeon asked with teary eyes. She went beside me and gave me a hug. I cried for awhile before telling her what happened.

"I shouldn't have left her alone." I cried.

"I didn't even see their faces. They will pay for hurting Lisa, Nayeon. I hate them. Why the hell would they do this to her?" I cried more.

"Nayeon, can you please look after Lisa for awhile? I have to let our friends know." I asked her and she nodded.

I went to Jisoo and Jennie's dorm and knocked frantically.

I was already sleeping when loud knocks woke me up and Jisoo. I didn't want to open it since I think it was too late at night. The knocks didn't stop so I went to the door with one eye open. Upon opening the door, I was in shock when Chae was standing there like a crying mess. I got nervous all of a sudden. What happened?

"Jennie, Lisa's in the hospital." She cried.

"What?! Why? Wha——" I didn't even allow myself to finish, I pulled Jisoo with me and ran with them to the hospital.

We were about to enter where Lisa was and my heart almost broke when I saw Lisa lying unconscious on the bed. Nayeon was also there beside her making it worse than how this is right now. I felt bad for not being here earlier.

I went beside Lisa and couldn't stop crying while holding her hand. I wanted to hug her so bad but I didn't want to hurt her.

Who the hell did this to her? She looks like she was almost beaten to death for god's sake. Tears kept on flowing down my face while looking at all the bruises and cuts that she has on her face and body.

"This is my fault. I should've showed up earlier. This wouldn't have happened." I realized and sat down frustrated.

Chaeyoung and Jisoo sat beside me.

"It's no one's fault, Jen. The only one at fault here are the ones who beat Lisa. We'll find them, okay?" Chae comforted.

"Let's just hope Lisa wakes up soon. We'll know the whole story from her. We need to be strong for her right now." Jisoo said.

I still felt like it was somehow my fault. Maybe I'm really no good for Lisa.
