Yena came into the apartment smashed. While she was getting back from her job, she met her highschool friend that's an alcoholic at the same level as her and they drunk at a very cheap pub located ten minutes far from their home.
"Tae... I met.. Ha.. Hani at the bus station..," Taehyung's mother was stumbling across the living room, trying not to hit every single object that would appear in front of her face "Ughh, that damned Hani... She still l- looks 18... And those b- breasts, holly spirits..."
Taehyung wasn't paying attention to his smashed mother that almost missed the couch and could fall on the ground.
He was getting ready for the job, putting the uniform he hated in his backpack.
"Why does he make us wear this? It's beyond disgusting." - Taehyung was talking to himself while putting a ribbon in the backpack, closing it.
He didn't even notice his mother came home until she broke her favorite vase in the kitchen.
"Damn Yena, you drunk sheep!" - Yena scolded herself shouting.
Taehyung rolled his eyes while he was getting out of the apartment.
"Where are... you... goi-" - Yena literally couldn't finish the sentence because alcohol's already messed her brain and the woman fell asleep like she hasn't slept for ten years.
Taehyung grabbed the keys and locked the apartment. Sometimes it seemed like his mother could choke on her own vomit while being in an inadequate position while sleeping on the couch or she could break her arm or rib from falling allover the apartment, but Taehyung's been helping his mother in situations like those ever since he learned his own name.
This time, in Yena's disadvantage, her son find a job and her drunk self was left helpless in their apartment.
Hopefully she always sleeps on the couch and somehow her head would always bend over the edge of couch, so she never choked while sleeping.
While getting out of the apartment, Taehyung just thought how one day the poor woman could actually die because of her addiction to alcohol.
If being asked, Yena would never admit to being an alcoholic. According to her, soju and beer are a good detoxes and an alternative to laxatives and stress reliefs, but those are just general excuses of all the alcoholics out there.
Taehyung was riding his bike down the street, being able to freely ride through the middle of the two lines because there was almost no traffic at all.
The night was dark, few stars would shyly blink just to inform they are actually there. Not even strong wind could blow all the negative thoughts that were passing through Taehyung's head.
"I lost my girlfriend... I lost my girlfriend..." - He repeated the phrase several times because it was too unbelievable to be true.
The two seemed like a perfect match, her kisses were truly tender and Taehyung didn't even think of breaking up. Not even once. He knew something wrong was going on with him, but unfortunately that thing wasn't something that could be discussed with others.
Taehyung's been dealing with his problems all alone since the beginning of his life, therefore him destroying his relationship shouldn't be something that'd bother his friends.
He knew the thing he's done wasn't fine, but at the same time he couldn't pretend to enjoy what was going on.
I was about to lose my virginity... but why didn't I?... - Taehyung thought while speeding on a half empty street.
Confusion and anxiety surrounded his mind. He knew something was going on with him, but deeply inside he didn't want to admit it.
Taehyung parked his bicycle near the entrance of the club and went inside.
Just as the last time, grumpy Hyungwon was playing with his phone at the bar, not even paying attention to what was happening around him.
Social networks and video games were the only things that occupied Hyungwon's brain. Oh, and money. That's the reason why he accepted the offer to become a waiter at this place.
"Hi Hyungwon." - Taehyung greeted the older, clearly halfheartedly.
Hyungwon didn't make a response and that really pissed the younger off.
"Can you for a second pay a fucking attention when someone's talking to you, you uncultured idiot?!" - Taehyung hit Hyungwon's hand and his phone fell on the ground.
Hyungwon was left in shock for a second, but he was that kind of person which adapted to situation very quickly.
"Listen kid..." - Hyungwon sighed and picked up the phone "you started working here few days ago and brought your street attitude, hoping that it will help you get the authority. Well, it won't. I am the boss here and you who can't even do the job properly are younger and here to listen."
Even though it didn't seem that way, Hyungwon was actually a very calm person. Even if you'd yell at him, he wouldn't come at you with swear words, but rather defend himself rationally.
Still, it didn't stop him from slapping the shit out of Taehyung's cheek. He hit the boy that hard Taehyung had to hold against the bar in order to stand.
He didn't expect that coming and was left completely wordless. Even more shocking part was that Hyungwon didn't change his facial expression, he was literally cold as ice.
"You manage to break the display... idiot..", Hyungwon sighed while turning on the phone "I will take all your tips for this month, but since your not able to even make 10 dollars a day, I believe I'll have to take a part of your salary as well."
Taehyung was still in shock by the hit he couldn't snap back at Hyungwon's cold words. He was caressing his red cheek which already started to change its color.
Hyungwon took his bag he put under the bar, trying to find something with his long fingers.
"Take this.." Hyungwon took Taehyung's hand and put the BB cream on the boy's palm "Your plumped purple cheek needs it."
Hyungwon put a crooked smile on his face and continued playing the video games on his phone.
Taehyung felt he lost this time and decided not to continue arguing. This job was very important to him after all.
He went to toilet and put the cream allover his face. He managed to hide the redness of the cheek, but he couldn't hid the swelling, which pissed his even more.
"I'm gonna kick that dick's face when we finish work, I swear to god." - Taehyung said out loud while putting the cream on.
When he came outside the restroom, he saw the boys have already come. Hyungwon was talking to Mr. Gong about something, but he didn't seem to brag about what happened between the two.
When Taehyung approached Hyungwon, Mr. Gong had a phone on his ear and just waved the boy.
"You already got your chance to shit about me, right?" - Taehyung asked the older with a deadly stare.
"No, not really, I don't wanna brag about someone so insignificant as you, I have more important stuff to say." - Hyungwon made the younger even more mad because his intonation was so soothing and he seemed 0% pissed.
Taehyung just rolled his eyes and turned around with his back facing Hyungwon.
He looked at the strippers and one of them got his attention. The same one who had a solo on his first day of work. The one who got cheered the most... the cutest one.
"Jesus, Taehyung, what's wrong with you?" - Taehyung asked himself out loud in disbelief, catching himself observing the stripper's booty.
The cute boy looked at Taehyung and just put a small smile on his face. He noticed, too.
