I looked at Ethan and I could tell he was shaking with anger.

"So why the fuck did you go against it?"

"Because you don't control me Ethan. You're childish." Damian was unfazed, going to grab tissues to clean up his mess, or should I say Ethan's mess.

"Just because some of us appreciate our age, doesn't mean that I'm childish."

"Me and Kay are just friends dude. You can't just say that she can't have any friends."

"But I can just tell her to stay away from you, you freak."

"I'm a freak all of a sudden? You're embarrassing."

"You think you're some sort of godsend! Give me one good reason why I shouldn't just beat the living shit out of you right here-"

"ENOUGH!" I yelled in the coffee shop, like our fight hadn't caused enough disruption.

"I'm so sorry about this." I apologised to what looked like the manager, paying for the drinks and walking out without another word.

"Kay!" I flipped round and huffed. I wasn't going to leave, I just wanted to get out of the shop.

"How dare you both! Who do you guys think you are seriously?! I am NOT an object! This whole situation between you both involves me of course, but I don't want you to fight over me! It's ridiculous." I looked between both of them with my full intent.

I didn't realise what really happened in there though. Damian just confessed to me what I had been waiting from Ethan this whole time in such a weirdly twisted way.

"Damian. I think it's the best if you go home, I'll call you later. Thank you for coming down and chatting to me for the brief time that we had." I hugged him and I could almost feel the burning holes from Ethan's eyes in my back.

"See you around. Sorry it had to come out this way." He quickly said before leaving.

"And as for you." I turned back and he had his arms crossed.

"Car."

-

"It was so obvious Ethan." I broke the silence in the car drive back to my house.

He kept silent.

"I just wanted it to come from your lips, those lips that I grown to care for. I knew you liked me.. I think. But I didn't want to push it out of you because you're shit at showing your emotions. No wonder you were so-"

"Cold. Yeah I get it." He squeezed onto the wheel, the leather making a slight noise.

"Listen to me. You have a bad way of showing your want for me, but I find it kind of... cute."

I could tell his eyes flickered a bit as I was watching his every move.

"Making all your friends stay away from me so they didn't get their hands on me.. bullying me for my attention.. Maybe I did rub off on you at the meal."

"Kendra, stop."

"Stop what? I'm just thinking it all out verbally." I admitted as he turned down my drive.

"Let's just talk inside." He parked up and he followed me into the house.

"Mom?" I shouted out. But there was no reply.

"Let's go to my room."

I shut my door as he sat on bed, his head in his hands. I wanted to just hold him, but I knew it was a lot for him to take in right now.
