Like Me Better (Bakugou Katsuki X Reader)

Ch1 And You Thought-

You looked over to Midoriya as he mumbled strategy.

"Look Midoriya...I know you think you should take on Bakugou, but I think it would be best to let me do the dirty work...after all I have damage control." You were about to explain what you ment but, fan-boy Midoriya cut you off saying

"Oh yes! That's right!! You are able to let out an explosion that can cancel the power and the destructive force of any previous explosion!" He smiled, you finished off the explanation

"Yes however the explosion has to be still physically there...meaning I have to be hella quick..." you and Midoriya finished up discussing the plan.

*BEGIN!*

You two enter the building with extreme caution, you were on high alert knowing that Bakugou would make a big entr-

"DAMN DEKU! DAMN YOU CAT!" Bakugou crashed down from above you two, he let off an explosion.

You struck your right arm against your left arm (like striking a match against a match box). Your explosion canceled out Bakugou's explosion. He dropped down in front of you two with a wild grin you stared back with a wild glare.

You lower yourself to prepare for Bakugou's attack.

Midoriya tried to run past Bakugou but as soon as Bakugou was about to grab Midoriya you let out an explosion that made Bakugou retract his hand and pushed Midoriya forward.

"DAMN CAT!" Bakugou gripped his hand in anger and lunged forward with a right hook.

You go in with a left hook. Once your hooks and explosions collided you used your right hand to send a blow to Bakugou's abdomen. As he was pushed back about 2 feet you gave him a wicked smile, when the dust cleared you see that he was still standing straight, he returns the wicked smile to you.

-In the Observation Area-
"Holy crap..." said Denki

"They're both fighting ruthlessly...like villains.." said Momo

"They both could play the part perfectly" said Jiro

-Back At the Battle Arena-

After a while of punching each other back and forth, Bakugou stopped and pulled on his gauntlets trigger

*BAKUGOU STOP THIS! YOU'LL KILL HER!* AllMight's voice screamed through the intercom.

"SHE'LL BE FINE AS LONG AS SHE CANCELS IN TIME!" Bakugou's voice was wicked and harsh...

"AAARRRRRGGG!" You let out your own explosion at the last second.

'Midoriya I believe in you come on!'

Once the dust and smoke disappeared, Bakugou sees that you are still standing however he noticed the red rash that barley showed on your arms.

"And you think we are equals..." he narrowed his eyes as he started to lung at you again.

You prepare to counter him.

*RING*

*THE HEROES WIN!* AllMight screamed through the intercom.

Both you and Bakugou stand up straight.

Bakugou looks at you with anger and disappointment. 

When he walked past you in anger you said

"And you thought we were equals" You mirror his words as he pasted you.

When he turned around to lash back at you, you already left the building with Midoriya.

"Great job (Y/N)! You did your part perfectly!" Midoriya said with a big goofy grin.

"If I'm being honest with you....I think I should train more...to ya know improve my quirk..." you said while looking at the now faded rash on your arms.

"Hmm? Stronger? But you can cancel out Bakugou's quirk! And he is incredibly strong! So wouldn't that make you two equals?" Asked Midoriya

"No...it's not as simple as that...I know it's childish but, I want to be stronger than him...I want to be seen as his equal...not his shadow or his copycat." You said as you kept yours eyes firmly on the path ahead of you.

"That doesn't sound silly to me! You just sound like Kaachan—BUT YOUR BETTER!" Poor Midoriya frantically said

"No no it's ok I am fully aware that I have a similar personality to Bakugou you don't need to sugar coat it for me." You give Midoriya a reassuring smile, and he loosens up and smiles.

You four enter the observation area and AllMight gave you a run down of how you all did however he did tell something odd to you and Bakugou.

"I saw that you two have some deep seated issues, you two will train together until this issue is solved. When? Every activity you will be placed together and you will train after school together, your parents will make sure of it."

"WHAT?! NOT WITH THEM!!
You both screamed in unison

"I can't be paired with that CAT!" Bakugou screamed

"I hate Bakugou! Tell me you're joking!" You screeched

"It's final! Young (last/name) and young Bakugou will be paired up until they learn to get along!" AllMight protested

You and Bakugou glare at each other for the rest of the day, the hate that boiled between you two was hotter than lava.
