The Dare That Changed Everything

Chapter 25.

Nash's POV:

"NO. NASH, I'll kill you if you do this!" Emily warned as I swinged her back and forth in my arms, ready to throw her in the lake.

"Okay.." I shrugged and tossed her into the water. I held back my laughter as I watched her resurface with an angry, yet amused look on her face.

"I hate you.." She murmured and moved her wet hair out of her face.

"Nah..I know you love me.." I bragged.

"When did I ever say that..?" She smirked.

"Pshh...I can tell." I said.

"Whatever..Now, give me a hand." She said, swimming to the edge and reaching out for my hand. I chuckled at her wet appearance and offered her my hand. I felt a tug on my hand, and before you know it, I was submerged into the water. A plan worked itself in my mind to get revenge on the little troublemaker.

I pretended to be drowning. I came up to the surface of the water and then went back down again. I flailed my arms around and shouted, "HELP!!" when I came up. I felt Emily's small arms for around my torso as she brought me to the surface. She swam to the shore, dragging me along with difficulty. I pretended to be knocked out.

"God Nash why didn't you tell me you couldn't swim!!" She exclaimed, with worry tracing her words. She laid me out on the ground and pushed back some hair from her face.

"Guess I'll have to give you mouth to mouth...." She trailed off. She put her lips on mine and I couldn't help but smile. She felt the smile and lifted her face up from mine.

My eyes fluttered open and I was met with an angry Emily... I broke out into laughter and she put her hands on her hips.

"You little bastard!!" She shouted. I couldn't contain my laughter. She got up and started walking towards the trail.

"Emily wait!" I shouted after her and quickly got up on my feet. I jogged after her and slid my hand into hers when I caught up with her.

"Im sorry.." I said, while smiling.

"Humph." She said, and crossed her arms. There was my stubborn Emily..

"You shouldn't have dragged me into the water." I shrugged.

"You shouldn't have tossed me into the water in the first place!!" She exclaimed.

"Aw, c'mon Emily, I was just having a little fun! Now wipe that pout off your face, or I can do it for you." I said. Her eyes widened and she smiled shyly. I inched toward and she ran up to me and jumped up. I caught her legs and wrapped them around my waist. I hoisted her butt up and she buried her head into the curve of my neck giggling. She left a kiss on my neck, making my hormones go crazyyy!!

"Do you love me Nash?" She whispered. I could feel her warm breath on my neck and shivers ran up my spine.

"More than anything.." I replied. She removed her head from my neck and beamed at me. I just wanted to kiss her so badd😩

She leaned in for a small kiss on the lips. Disappointment was written on my face clearly when she didn't continue. Then I noticed her small smirk. She was teasing me.

I chuckled an carried her all the way to the car as she told me about a prank her sister Anne played on her the other day. My eyes stayed glued on her, because that's where they wanted to stay forever. I moved a piece of her hair from her face, curling it on my finger before letting go. She looked up at me, her eyes darting from my eyes to my lips. She used her fingers to trace my jaw and then entangled her hands into my hair.

"What are you doing ..?" I asked, chuckling as she kept her hands in my hair.

"I just..your hair is perfect!" She slowly explained.

"Nah..But I know its better than what it used to be." I indicated.

"I honestly like you either way." She expressed. She started playing with the top of my shirt.

"Hah. I dont know why I used to be that nerdy.." I mumbled and shook my head.

"That was the real you.." She whispered. I clutched her legs tighter, because I feel her slipping.

"So what am I now?" I asked.

"This is just another different part of you." She replied. I let that sink in. I guess everybody's made up of a good and bad part.

We approached the car and I put her down. She went to the other side of it and got in.

"Where should we go now?" I asked as I climbed in the drivers seat.

"Umm..I don't know. You decide." She said, twirling a piece of her hair with her finger.

"We could go to my house." I smirked and then winked at her. She slapped my arm and then her cheeks grew red.

"Nah just drop me off at my house. I have a bunch of homework." She said with a frown on her face.

"Okay..Fine." I mumbled.

"Im sorry..maybe tomorrow?" She asked and leaned over to peck my lips. I put my arm around her waist and held her there as we shared a passionate kiss. She pushed my chest gently and I slowly let her go. She settled back into her seat and gave me a small smile before I drove to her house.

*SCHOOL MONDAY*

"Hey babee." Emily said as she walked up to me in the school parking lot. I locked my car and engulfed her into a hug as she came near me.

Just then, we heard the bell ring and I broke the hug.

"I'll see you at lunch?" She asked, smiling sweetly at me. My insides churned just seeing that smile. Now I knew that smile was because of me.

"Yes.." I nodded and pecked her cheek. She flung her hair over her shoulder as she walked towards the entrance of the school. I shook my head and walked slowly behind her.

I felt a large hand on my shoulder and I looked up to see Colton.

"How's that dare going?" He asked, with his glittering evilly.

Shit! I hadn't even thought about that since the party! And now Emily was my girlfriend and she didn't know. I ran a hand through my hair in frustration. It felt like history was repeating itself, but this time it would be her getting heartbroken.

I couldn't let that happen to her..

"Colton, I don't want to the dare anymore."
